What did you do to your JK today?

Yeah sorry was referring to the flare . I suppose you could mount to the fender just above flare . Not sure how that would look
That would be strictly a matter of personal taste. I think if I were going to install the LED strips, I'd put them on the underside. Let them double as rock lights. If I were going to put something above the flare, it would be the little tiny 1/4" bulb, but even that I think I'd be more likely to put it underneath.

The Hooke Road flares I used on both of ours have a small lip, and they're metal. So on them, I'd put the light on that lip. Basically stock-ish placement. But that's not really an option with this sort of cut.

I like the idea of the LED strip but where would
You mount them? Don't think enough room on
side of fender .
I’d have to leave enough of the vertical face of the fender to mount them. Unless I could mount them on the underside facing down, but that might defeat the purpose. I am wondering if there is away to take L shape of plastic or something JB weld it to the underside of the fender then mount to the face of the L shape product.

The version in my link has a very aggressive adhesive backing, and I would look at mounting them in the highlighted locations on the underside of the fender.
Again, my theory is that the element itself does not need to be seen IF the light output is visible when illuminated.

It sounds reasonable. I'd go with it, at least until I was told by a cop that it wasn't OK.

All lights. Including markers have
to be seen and unobstructed . Most cops
wouldn't give a shit . But there is always that
one out there ready to rain on a guys parade.
Was sitting at red light and an officer pulled up
beside me. He got out of his cruiser and walked
to front and was checking out my light bar .
It's why I have cover on it. In BC no exposed lighting
above the hood . You could tell he was thinking
shit . Thought it was an easy ticket . They can be
strict here but most are pretty cool.
If it was me I would have them exposed . Just to
avoid hassels . But I do like the idea of underside
mount . Depends on @Danarch area.

Looks like it is “required” to be on the side. I’ll be thinking about what to do in the future. Funny thing is I was never able to fine a size requirement. Also from what I did find, sounds like it is a federal requirement now.

Setup & Installed Akaso Brave
4 Pro video camera . Going to record the trails and post on You Tube . Did some filming on the streets today . Wow the pic is amazing . 1080 P 120 FPS. I could use 4K but that eats a lot of memory . Very impressed .

Received blank with fob this week so went and got it cut at a locksmith . Had the guy do a test first on a basic blank to make sure machine was set up . Blank worked in doors perfectly so went ahead with the fob. Perfect . Programmed fob using JSCAN Everything works . Lock , Unlock , Remote Start . I’m so blown with JSCAN. It was quite easy to program fob with zero issues .
Going to get a small magnetic box and hide that basic key somewhere under Jeep in case ever lock keys in Jeep and I’m in the middle of no where .

Not surprised TBH . It’s provably been a federal law for awhile . It falls under safety like headlights, seatbelts air bags etc
.It’s been Federal Law here for decades . Implemented when daytime running lights was introduced into law across Canada .

On the side does not mean "on the side of the flare". It means "on the side", so on the side of the fender above or below the flare should be just peachy, as long as the light (not necessarily the light SOURCE) is visible. And "near the front" doesn't mean "near the front of the fender", it means "near the front", which could be anywhere on the front fender. Especially given that BMW (and others) sell cars in the US with side marker lamps closer to the leading edge of the door than to the trailing edge of the front tire.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it unless it became an issue. There are thousands of Jeeps running around without them and nobody seems to care. If I did decide to worry about it, I'd go on the metal under the flare that's exposed, probably in front of the tire, drill a 1/4" hole and pop in an LED.

Damn, now that I'm retired, I could be doing that every day.... but nothing that scenic in my part of the world.
Really? When my kids were little, we used to go to Ocean Isle during the summers. I recall a lot of great scenery in NC. I always applied for a flight job at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital during the trips, for tax purposes. Couldn't accept the job though. Too hot and humid there for my tastes.
There was a lot of Kudzu there, as I recall. Has that gotten any better?

Had to google Kudzu. So these invasive vines ,
are they really that out of control? Nothing they can
spray to kill it off?
In BC we had serious issues with the Pine Beetle.
Killed thousands of acres of trees on the main land.
When driving up towards the Rockies you can see
entire mountain sides with dead brown trees.
A couple long cold winters seemed to have
killed them off somewhat . But it's still a concern
for the foresty sector .
