Let us know how the flow master sounds!Today, I replaced the graying plastic door handles with much nicer aluminum handles.

While I was doing this, the Amazon man came to visit. He does that a lot. A couple weeks ago, we had a day with no deliveries, and he dropped by just to see if we were OK...
This is what he dropped off.

So I'll be doing more stuff...
Let us know how the flow master sounds!
I like it just fine. As I said elsewhere, this, in combination with some other upgrades, have yielded a 30-35HP boost, according to an app called Dynochart.Nice, how do you like it?

I think it sounds as good as a V6 is going to. I can certainly be a fool at times, but I'm not fool enough to expect it to sound (or perform) like my 23 year old Chevy Shitbox.
Wouldn't necessarily have to be smaller. You could use one with less diameter but more length. Spintech make some really nice low-profile mufflers. If I can get it to sound similar to stock I’d be happy as long as it is high clearance. Don’t want too much restriction, maybe just remove the rear one and add a smaller one inline pre axle.
I looove the way my 96 dodge with flow aster and dual exhaust sounds. So deep. Maybe one day I’ll do a V8 swap on the Jeep when this powertrain craps out.
Thank you for the pointers!Wouldn't necessarily have to be smaller. You could use one with less diameter but more length. Spintech make some really nice low-profile mufflers.
JK Gear & Gadgets did an install viideo of an inline Magnaflow muffler .If I can get it to sound similar to stock I’d be happy as long as it is high clearance. Don’t want too much restriction, maybe just remove the rear one and add a smaller one inline pre axle.

The rear view mirror. Is it an actualNice day today, and I spent most of it in the garage.
I swapped out the dome and license plate lights in both Jeeps for LEDs.

Productive day, overall.
It is a screen that covers your regular rearview mirror. You can think of it as a backup cam that stays on all the time. When it's turned off, it also functions just like your OEM rearview, just a little bigger. The rear view mirror. Is it an actual
monitor that rear view cam gets hooked up to.
Was looking at those.
How do you like ?
Ok gotcha . Seen the one that mounts over rear view mirror on Amazon .It is a screen that covers your regular rearview mirror. You can think of it as a backup cam that stays on all the time. When it's turned off, it also functions just like your OEM rearview, just a little bigger.
I have not gotten to really use it yet. When I plugged everything in, the rear camera didn't connect. The plug on that cable is bent, and I assume broken. I probably stepped on it or something. I emailed the manufacturer and they are sending me a replacement. I'll write it all up as soon as I get that.

Today, I'm not planning to do anything to either JK. I'm doing beta testing for Diablo 4, so I'm obligated to spend the day playing. Poor me.
New fog, trail, and rear lighting has begun.
Not being able to easily make the factory fog light switch work for these new LEDs, and needing at least (2) more switches for the center light and the rears anyway, I just ordered this:

Next is a SPDT switch that matches the above to control these as either On manually (from a IGN source)/OFF/On when in reverse.

This should be a fun project to do while drinking beer in the garage.
Changed the oil in mine and added one of THESE to the pan, since we were talking about them in another thread. I haven't used this one yet, but I have used them on other vehicles in the past, and they really are no-mess. Should make future oil changes easier. If anybody else decides to try these, you're going to need a big wrench. The plug is 15/16". Makes sense, since you're never taking it out and making it big means the knurled bit that covers the valve will be big enough to easily remove by hand.
It was a particularly fun oil change. The dealer had changed the oil. I have put 1200-1300 miles on it. I am frankly amazed that they drain plug wasn't stripped out, because that sucker was really cranked down. I lifted myself off the creeper with a 2 foot breaker bar without budging it. I'm 6'1", 220lbs. So I broke out the impact wrench to get it out.
I hear rumors that oil cooler leaks are a common problem. Is that with the 3.8L or the 3.6L, or both?
