B-pillar chop done and ready for paint today. Hopefully get it back late next week so I can put it all back together.

A JKU looks awesome with a b-pillar chop and half doors, IMO. Hopefully it'll be done this week and I can talk my brother into picking it up for me. I'm out of town all week for work this week and 3 days next. I'll only have 4 solid days to get it back together before the Hollerwood Jeep Jamboree.
No question about the looks. I’ve got half doors and a soft top. I’m seriously considering the conversion therapy. Keep the pics coming.
How custom of a cage is required? I have a stock rear and a prefab front but really want a better setup. I promised my wife when I bought it that it was “already to go”. Lol.
I did the same with mine when I bought it; and my wife reminds me of that every time I do something else to it.
It's have to be a full cage, either Genright, Motobilt, or custom built. The b-pillar is tied into the factory roll bars.
I haven’t built a cage since 2015ish. I’ll look into a Genright. Way easier.

Rear tub bed lined, cage painted, and installed. Can't wait to get home Friday and start putting the stuff back in.
After 6 1/2 weeks of recovery, I was able to drive my Jeep again! Boy did it feel good to drive again.
Got the cargo area and dash back together. I had to reorganize the slide and get a smaller refrigerator because of the X-brace behind the back seat. I've got room to store smaller items behind them under the X.
Just have to get the speaker pods wired, dome lights installed/wired, and get the Bimini top mounting figured out.

Going to have to play with the dash side pieces, they won't stay clipped in right now.
I'm not 100% happy with how the Bimini top fits. I may have to have a custom one made or change/add straps to this one.

Spent the last 9 days in Colorado hitting the rocks.
Wound on a new 1/2" x 92' Vevor 32k synthetic rope. It is a tight fit, but it fits on the Rough Country 12k winch drum. If I had the control still mounted on it, it wouldn't have fit. The Rough Country one I had on was still fine, but it was 3/8". I wanted a heavier one after a couple of pulls I had to put on it this trip. The RC one will go in the hauler as a spare, just in case.

Did John Bull in Big Bear today. Gatekeeper was a little easier than last time.
Stopped by my buddies shop to check on the full hydro install and the Motobilt new rear corner armor. Only reason going to the full hydro was because I found a brand new PSC kit on Marketplace for less than half of a new kit.
Only snapped a picture of the full hydro. The new corners should be painted and done by Tuesday.

Got Packout home yesterday.
The new Motobilt quarter armor is hot. The fit and finish is awesome. Since I bought mine on release day, I didn't get the 15% off for the Jeep Invasion discount
. They are worth the full price cost IMO since they come with the taillights and the Baja Designs S2 lights.
The corners got some trail damage from Colorado fixed and painted before the armor went on. But so did the flares.
The only area left that hasn't been repainted is the front fenders and hood. Those will get repainted this winter when I put the Motobilt hood vents on.
Got my RC third brake light / chase light mounted to the underside of the Motobilt light mount bracket. I'll get it wired up tomorrow. This will also serve as a license plate light too. Now I will have 1 less thing making this not street legal.

New to me 2016 JKU Rubicon manual transmission. Added 285/70r17 BFG KO3's today. This rig is 10 years old and only sports 34,000 miles. Will eventually lift and add 35's and new wheels but not anytime soon.
