Alright. I will take your word for it.
This is all so overwhelming. I have been reading the forums for almost 2 months , every time I get something figured out someone says nope that’s not going to work.
Trying to do things right the first
Time, it seems like that isn’t possible.
Fair enough. Ive Never messed around with suspension on vehicles before so Its frustrating.
I was originally going to purchase the metalcloak 2.5 GC lift that comes with all the arms etc. Maybe I should go back to that plan.
Yes it is 4:10 gears on my unit.
I’m not into anything extreme, this jeep isn’t a daily driver, but I don’t trailer it to the trails either. Just want to armor up as
Much as possible , and I’ll be good on 35’s doing what I want to do.
I probably should have went all aluminum skid instead of the SB XRC . This stuff is so heavy.
Right now I’m on 285/70/17 and it operates fine. But I put a winch on it and in my opinion the front sags to much.
For the trails I drive , I want full skid and 35’s
Original reason for this post is I bought the SB XRC skids from a 4x4 shop who said they will fit. Apparently they do not and won’t accept a return. My bad for being ignorant and not knowing enough before hand. But learned a couple lessons in the process.
Might just cut my losses and go with a proper lift that has all the arms etc, trackbars etc. Every time I look into just a spacer lift someone says it’s going to cause problems.
Apparently MC 2.5 lift is upgradable to 3-4” if I need to go to that later.
Thank you for the info and your time.
