What did you do to your JK today?

Installed my A-pillar lights. I'm not a huge fan of the brackets I got, so I'm on the hunt for different ones. You can see the front blue lights for the VFD.

I’ve got a set of EVO Manufacturing A Pillar light supports for my KC 100 LED Slim Lights . Very happy with the mounts . Got then off of eBay .

Swapped the factory speakers for a Kicker set up from Bantam Overland. These are a massive improvement over the OEM infinity, even with the factory amp. Granted, I have a radio with an excellent equalizer in it. The fronts are a mid-bass with tweeter and the rears are full range. They really compliment the OEM sub.

I found this plug in the upper side of the driver side dash area. Anyone know what it is for?

Didn't do anything to my Jeep lately. I've been busy getting sponsors to donate for my silent auction table. I'm going to be hosting a Barricade Go Topless Day event in Central Pennsylvania if anyone is interested. So far Rough Country, Rhino USA, Stoner Car Care, and Barricade donated for my event.

When I got my Jeep the previous owner had installed a DV8 air flow style hood that was never coated properly. After a summer in Florida it was showing its age and starting to rust so it was time to refinish it. I live at almost 9000 feet and have been dying to do this all winter. It finally hit 60 degrees today so was a perfect day to paint. (YEP that is snow melting in the background.)

I just went with the cheap roll on bed liner and self ething primer after knocking all the loose paint off and a quick sand. The main goal was just to buy some time before having to replace the hood entirely. But I must say it looks a million times better.

For a couple hourds and $50 it will work until I find a replacement.

Replaced the wife’s power steering pump and steering stabilizer. Bleed the system and everything looked good. Put everything back together, clean up and then what I do I see? A little puddle of fluid. Wiped it up and only to see more. For some reason the return hose is leaking where it slips over the pipe. Not if the clamp is tweaked or the hose has a problem, Wasn’t leaking before. I wondering if the old simply is deformed a little from how the old clamp sat and the clamp not being in the same spot. Anyways ordered a new hose, clamp etc. and will replace it.

Attacked the clock spring today. I’m on the downhill side now. I pulled the old clock spring apart, it was puckered at one spot so it popped apart really easy. Found this. What dos that do? I am assuming it’s a shattered ribbon cable.

I guess a little late now but what year is your JK? Years 2011-2016 have an extended warranty on the clockspring. Got my wife’s replaced a few months ago.

My daughter speedometer would drop to zero, a few lights would flash and make a ding. Error codes showed a stuck brake switch and high voltage. She has an extended warranty so she made an appointment. I told her “hey may just be a loose battery cable”. Went out and checked. The negative was loosy-goosy. Managed to take off the little piece with the little bends and managed to bend them back a little. Got everything re-assembled. It’s been about two weeks and it hasn’t happened since.

Always check the cables.

Rolled over 300K KM’s or 186 411 miles yesterday .

Put on new wiper motor and assembly today . Wipers were not operating properly or returning to the “ home”position . Works good now .

Polished my aluminum shafts again . They were looking rough after a winter of salt & grime . Greased up the joints as well .

Yes they will probably get dirty on Sunday but will rinse off .
