I'm a gadget guy, and I like to try out new things. If they work well, I keep using them. If not, I've got a lovely trash bin in the garage.More stuff in your cockpit then that old Cessna 150 I flew in the 80s. LOL
I heard peppermint oil work too and might smell good too.I heard dryer sheets or a mean cat.
Looks great.Got tired of not being able to see when reversing out of my garage or anywhere else. Found a DIY where people used recessed LED lights in the stock rear bumper. Best $20 bucks spent, lol. Every easy to do and would recommend doing it. If you decide to tackle this project make sure when you order the lights it includes the light template to make cutting the hole easier, my kit didn't come with the template.
Cheers

Thanks, can't wait to see your setup as well.Looks great.
I bought a bumper with similar lights for the same reason.
I’m about to complete the wiring for a On-Off-On switch that will allow me to select when they work; automatic on when in reverse, off, on manually.
I can’t wait to be able to see better and for others to be able to see me better.
Looks really good and bright as well .Got tired of not being able to see when reversing out of my garage or anywhere else. Found a DIY where people used recessed LED lights in the stock rear bumper. I like Mrs Dogs 6” upper lights . That’s a good idea . I have a steel rear so would be tough to cut into but would be ideal placement . Could use some extra lighting in the back .You guys got me thinking now .I'm a light fan. So (like @WestCoastDan) I bought bumpers with similar lights. I also added some extras, for when I really really want to see.

Hers has two 30W 6" LED bars mounted on the liftgate hinges and the bumper lights are tapped into the backup lights.
Mine has a 180W 32" LED bar mounted to the roof, and the bumper lights are switched.
What do you mean a steel rear? You've been doing the "Buns of Steel" workout? Or you've got something other than the normal Jeep fiberglass hard top?I like Mrs Dogs 6” upper lights . Did you have any issue with voltage since they are LED’s? Or did you simply tie them into the reverse circuit at the taillights?Got tired of not being able to see when reversing out of my garage or anywhere else. I tapped into the reverse light wiring (white with gray stripe) and no issue so far.Did you have any issue with voltage since they are LED’s? Or did you simply tie them into the reverse circuit at the taillights?
Sorry Typo. What do you mean a steel rear? You've been doing the "Buns of Steel" workout? Or you've got something other than normal Jeep fiberglass hard top?
Mounting her lights was just a matter of loosening the bolt on the liftgate hinge, slipping the bracket in behind it, and retightening it. You do need to get the wires inside somehow. My choice was drill a hole and put a grommet in it.
