What did you do to your JK today?

The negative wire was just long enough to reach the battery terminal the way I ran it.

I have my wire ran from the winch, under the grill, up behind the passenger headlight and tight against the fender. I unmounted my fuse box to keep the wire against the fender and then tightened everything back up. I didn't use any of the extra wires.

Thanks for the pictures and information! I’ll take another look at my routing method.

Getting new tires put on this morning and the drag link is completely seized. Had 2 guys and a breaker bar and could not bust it loose. This is going to add a few hundred to the tires and alignment.....

Finally pulled the trigger on some lights. Went with two sets of KC Gravity Pro6 (Spot and Wide patterns). I will also be getting the driving beam pattern, but will wait until after the roof rack actually gets here. Once the rack gets here 4 lights (the two patterns I have now) will go up top and the other set of driving patterns will go in the bull bar.

Should look pretty nice and give greater visibility.

Call me stupid, but how in the world did you mount the disconnect box to the fire wall? The nuts are designed to go into bottom of the box to screw then bolts into (which area extra long). Given this this base doesn’t attach to the switch? Wire is routed.

Update - came up with a different solution and mounted the disconnect to the side adjacent to the battery. There is a picture in another post. Worked out well.

Wondering if either of you have an issue with the wire staying plugged into the control? The wire just seems to fall out the end of the control even though it seems plugged in all the way. Other than that winch seems to work great.

Did a a few things;

1. Installed door handles
2. Hooked up power for the winch.
3. Fixed the rats nest at the door harness from the PO who tapped into it. (See other posts)
4. Installed new RR WSS (no picture).

It’s an odd show if you ask me. My wife’s dad was in the AF and stationed in England for about 8-10 years. She loves the show and watches the reruns, remakes, …… etc. I just sit and “wonder why?”
As a Yank, nothing against our friends from across the pond, but you've got to have a certain mindset to enjoy British television... especially their comedies. Monty Python, The Young Ones, The IT Crowd, Red Dwarf... even dramas like Sherlock, I admit I do enjoy them all, and many of the Doctor Who episodes (although not a big fan of Peter Capaldi episodes and not at all a fan of Jodi Whitaker, but that's what makes the world go 'round).

To stay on topic... hmmm. today I put the hardtop back on (boo) and fine tuned my Torque app by adding an Oil Pressure gauge.
