What did you do to your JK today?

I filled the gas tank in my JKU, it was a very painful experience.

The gas prices here have dropped the last couple months. It’s about $1.84 litre in BC. In the province of Alberta it’s about $1.60 litre. The price does vary somewhat . If I go up island it’s anywhere from 5-10 cents a litre cheaper .
It peaked at about $2.49 ish a litre 2-3 months ago . That was messed up !
What are you paying for gas in your area now compared to say a year ago ? I understand it would be by the gallon .

Are those prices pretty standard everywhere except Nevada where it’s still $4.59.

Went to Cline Buttes OHV park in Oregon. Left our place in Fall Creek and went up FS18 to 1832 and dropped on to Hwy 126 via 2618/9 and then dropped into Sisters via 242. Drove back via 126 and hiked to Blue Pool on a whim at sunset and for once hardly saw any people... usually there is a line of people all 2.25 miles in.

Was expecting more from Cline Buttes. The easy trails were too easy. Moderate trails were too easy. Then we accidentally turned down trail 34...one of the hard trails...and there was a little pucker factor...got it on video.

Pretty stock Jeep. PO out 18s and 35s on it without regearing. We threw a bumper, winch and Morryde tailgate reinforcement on.

Waiting to get my TJ back from Gearworks in Bend. Called them last week and it's still sitting in their parking lot and has been for a month. Going down next Friday and bringing it home. I can swap the transmission no problem. They offered to do it since they f'd up rebuilding my AX-15.

I installed metal hood catches the other day...
They look better and they stop the hood from bouncing, so I'd call that a win-win.

I wanted to replace my wires and plugs today (only have about 47k, but what the heck) I have already drilled out and pulled the inner right wheel plastic thingy (EGR repair). But now it is too buggy, hot and humid out. And of coarse I will put it off, like College exam studying last minute. And then I will be on this forum complaining about the task when the snow and cold hits.

About a week before hitting the trails I sprayed 3 cans of Fluid Film on everything underneath except exhaust and brakes.
We went through some pretty nasty holes as you can see on the wheels. The front bumper was submerged in muck at one point.
Half way through the ride, the guys in other rigs peaked underneath mine and couldn't believe nothing was sticking. They started asking all kinds of questions about Fluid film and how to do it. It really is as easy as crawling underneath and spraying it! Sorry for the picture quality. I wanted to share before it got washed in the morning...

Replaced the windshield header seal on my 07 ruby. Factory neglected to put butyl in the corners when they assembled it on my model. Finally no more A-pillar leak!

Out here in O.C.M.D. for Jeep Week. Took the Jeep out on the morning beach crawl. There were about 400 Jeeps out on the beach today. Then we're headed over to the Jeep Jam obstacle course.

Added a solar controller in the glovebox, installed a small interior fuse box, ran a 12v cigarette lighter socket to power a fridge, added led lighting, reinstalled my diy bed platform, and sweat all over the place...

Just did mine but my 3.8 prefers liters not quarts of 5w20.

Mount Bolduc WW2 Crash Site

In 1944 a Submarine Hunter Aircraft was doing routine patrol along the coast of BC.
It had unfortunately crashed in the peaks of Mt Bolduc .

At the time there were no roads or trails going up to the summit . The following link contains newspaper article of the details and challenges rescuers faced trying to get up there .

There is now an amazing trail going up to peak . Very long ,steep, windy and rocky . With some epic shelf roads along the way . I’ve done the trail a couple times and pay my respects at the crash site to our fallen heroes .

I like how you organized the back of your Jeep . That divider is a good idea to help fridge stay put . I noticed it’s totally flat . Did you take out rear seats ?
I was thinking of a bed on the 60 percent fold down side . But something hinged so can use rear seats . Mine is a 2008 so seats don’t fold down flat .
My setup will have to be raised a bit to compensate for the fold down seats .
