What did you do to your JK today?

Started the coil over swap. Have the wrong spring weights. Supposed to be 250/300 but got 200/250. When I set it down, the shocks went right to the shaft bump stop. Had to take them off. Not sure what is going to happen. Took 3 months to get them from king.

Here it is with 4” of preload. Just off the shaft bump stop

Unpackaged the Wilwood calipers to see what I needed for brake lines. I'll be ordering some custom ones to either go to an AN fitting or an 1/8" port on the caliper. This Busted Knuckle kit is on my brothers JKU Dana 60 and it stops on a dime with 43's.

They are super light; yes that is 3.19 pounds. Can't wait to pull the Super Duty calipers and compare the weight differences.

Dropped the Jeep off for the regear. I hope I don’t get the same bad news.

After my small lift I made need to get an adjustable rear track bar as it’s off within an 1/2” or so.

Here's hoping. I had to abandon the whole thing with the locker for now.

My spider gears ended up being completely wrecked, I needed a new carrier, etc.

I ended up ordering a Yukon Grizzly for the rear end and new Motive carrier and spider gears for the front. Gonna try again sometime in April.

Got my Genright windshield armor painted and installed. Well, installed minus the top bolt. Not too bad for spray cans. I picked up a couple of custom paint match cans from Amazon. I sprayed the back 4 coats matte black. The front has 5 coats of color and 2 coats of clear.

The worst part of Rock Lobster color is how it fades to orange. There were only around 1,500 JKU's painted this color since it was a 1 year color. I've debated when I get 1/2 doors and rear armor to have the whole thing resprayed Firecracker so it will be easier to touch up and get rid of the fade.

Installed a set of Redline Tuning hood struts. They were not the cheapest on the market but I liked how they installed better than any other brand. They are no drill and takes about 10 minutes to install. They hold the hood open a bit farther than the hood prop. They also have a quick disconnect on the lower strut so you can lay the hood all the way back against the window frame.

I liked them enough that I ordered a set for my daily 2012 JKU.

For a 2" lift, would you recommend an adjustable rear track bar or a rear track bar bracket? I'm trying to center the rear axle with respect to the frame and I see both choices but don't know the difference between the options. I haven't noticed anything on the drivability--just observed the look.

This guys seems like it would do the trick as it's designed for lower lifts: https://www.quadratec.com/products/16191_9005_07.htm

However others seem to mount to the axle itself.

You will want both. A bracket alone won't center the axle.

They seem to say they will...

"The TeraFlex JK 2.5" Performance Spacer Lift Rear Track Bar Frame Bracket restores the track bar to its natural position without binding or interference with other components on JK models with a 2.5" Performance Spacer Lift Kit."

Is it hype? I've been bamboozled before.

I have an older (2009ish) teraflex dana 60 and teraflex track bar installed on my JKU. I just installed a Rebel Recon coil over kit and found the teraflex track bar mount was going to bind the coils and I had to cut a large piece of the track bar mount off to make room for the coil over on the driver side. After I cut the mount enough to clear the coil, I made a gusset to fill the area and welded it in.
