Went up to the Cowichan Valley today . Gave the Powerstop Z36 a good work out on the HWY and the trails . So happy with performance . Highly recommend if anyone looking for new brakes .

Been lucky here as the lack of rain has kept the mosquito’s at bay so far .
I changed my broken stock head unit for an Alpine ILX507. It sounds way better than before and it has gauges. Crutchfield customer service is awesome.
I have to get with the times, they tell me. OEM sound system (only used the radio once, for a weather report). No buttons on the steering wheel, just a horn. No AC, power windows or locks. Drive around like it is the 70s.
I swapped the radio to get the windshield viewing improved. I prefer having gps navigation and the windscreen on the JK is small enough already without a gps filling the center.

Had adjustable upper control arms installed in the rear. Was getting a lot of vibration in the driveline. Shop said it was due to the pinion angle from the 3.5" lift PO had put in. Smooth as silk now. It's only money.

Installed the Powerstop Z36 kit today, front and rears. Drove it enough to bed the pads. Seems a worthwhile upgrade.

Well, yesterday, but I finally got around to replacing the door bushings with Delrin ones from TMR. this is probably the 4th JK I've done this on. Usually makes removing/opening the door much smoother.

Yeah, the passenger side was a b****. I had to pound it out from the top because of my rock rails not allowing a good swing and I messed up the alignment. No biggie, just added insult to injury.
All good now. I'd recommend all Jeepers do this.

Removed the shifter and carefully cut off the notched end and ground the shaft down to 12mm and used a die to cut M12 1.5 threads. Wife ordered this shifter knob.
Took a come along to get the transfer case knob off. Damn that thing was on there. Broke a ratchet strap. Two 2x6s above with the freedom top removed.
Also installed a roof rack...tent should be here tomorrow...
