What did you do to your JK today?

Took the wife’s JKU (and the LJ) out today on Genoa Peak Road. Peak elevation 9,300 and great views of Lake Tahoe.
I also just installed CMMs grab handles, along with the 6" break away mirror. So far so good... not much time with them yet.
You'll like them. I have them in my JK and TJ. There isn't another that is comparable.

Got all excited today, saw Amazon had made a delivery got home asked the wife where my big box was...... her answer "all my stuff was delivered, your box with the new JKU exhaust was delayed should be here tomorrow..

My neoprene seat covers faded over time and looked horrible. Instead of buying new seat, I painted them with fabric paint and what a difference it made. Will see how good the paint holds up overtime. I ended up using 3 cans for the back seat total. I didn't paint the front covers since the driver side ripped and replaced them with another non-neoprene set.

Well I will be picking up my exhaust system from the post office tomorrow. USPS wouldn't deliver it......

Left work early to go to Scottsboro, AL. to get my new tag!
Stopped by the post office and picked up a big box!
Was pleasantly surprised at how nice the exhaust pipes and muffler are.
I will be posting pictures Saturday as a do the installation.
For now here is a teaser shot.

Alright, had to run by Harbour Freight and pick up a set of drill bits, then ran by O'Reillys and got an exhaust hanger tool. Stopped by the grocery store and spent more $$$$
Got home and everything put up while the JKU cooled down.

Dad was up at 7:30, boy didn’t get up till 9:00 then had to cook himself breakfast. Then had to get cleaned up to go to work by 2:00. But managed to get the radiator out, drop the pitman arm and disconnect the power steering lines to the gear box today, not too bad for 3 hours. All together replacing the radiator, steering gear box and tie rod assembly. No trip to HF

That's why I went early this morning before I started the job.
The drill bits were for a different job that I got my dad to do for me. At 84 there isn't alot he can do anymore, so I try to let him help me when he can.
Makes him feel useful and helps me also.
That is a good time to go. One time I was putting a suspension lift on the JKU and couldn’t get the right socket to use my 1/2” torque wrench on the driveshaft bolts. It was 8:30 at night headed to HF to get 3/8” only to realize they were closed, then had to go to Lowes’s and picked a Craftsman 3/8” torque wrench. Ended up finishing around 11:00 that night by the time I got everything done and cleaned up.

I have done the same thing, replaced the right rear unit bearing on the wife's Armada.
Ran to Harbor freight 5 minutes before closing for the Maddox slide hammer.
Power went out and had to finish the job the next night

Had to bring Dad to the ER for Bladder/Kidney problems.

Ok, I used to say the same about JK's when I had my TJ.
Everyone I know who has a JL and tries to build them winds up selling it and building a JK. Too many electronics in them.

Ok got home a little while ago, he went to a doc in the box Monday they put him on some antibiotics for a UTI, the the ER doctor says aren't strong enough and the infection was getting worse.
New round of antibiotics for the next 10 days.
