More trips to the parts store. I've got the new engine in and running, but I'm getting some odd errors. The system thinks my oil level is low, but it's not. The sensor is ok and it has power, so I'm thinking I've got a grounding problem. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate tracking down electrical gremlins? I'm also seeing some fuel pressure fluctuations that need to be fixed; the last thing I need is for this thing to lean out under boost.

Did you put the LS in yourself? The Harness from RPM Extreme finally shipped on Friday for my LS swap. Did you go with a 6 speed or 8 speed transmission?

Keep in mind the LS is in a '99 Corvette M6 coupe, not one of the Wranglers.
This will be the third engine. I had a shop pull the 5.7L LS1 and swap in a heads/cam/blower 6.2L LS3. I drove and raced that for 70,000 miles and 400 passes before I collapsed a piston skirt at the track. OEM rotating assembly with 9lbs of boost will do that...
So I pulled it out, had the block machined and resleaved, and rebuilt it with a forged crank, billet rods, and forged pistons. I'm still chasing little gremlins. The weather got nice enough to take it on a test drive, and I found a tiny leak from the rear main, so I'm fixing that now.

Ahhhhh My apologies. I am putting a crate 6.2L LS3 in my Wrangler hopefully starting tomorrow.

You should make a How-To thread and document every step of the process. I'd eventually like to do this to my Wrangler, but it'll have to wait a while. After rebuilding the Vette and swapping a new engine into her Wrangler, I'm about done for now.

Finished the engine swap on Mrs. Dogs JKUR. New 3.8L long block, new water pump (because it's really easy while it's out), shorty headers. Ran it around today and tweaked the tune a bit. Running great now. Not quite $5,000 in parts, but she ought to be good for another 200,000 miles now. The only factory bits left are the transmission, transfer case, and differentials.
 
The notorious 3.6L knock/tick started a week or so ago at 130k. I need to find a mechanic within 500 miles I can drop it off and have a complete workover done on the motor and trust it'll be done right so I can get another 100k out of her. Maybe I can drive it out to Dirty Dog, leave it and fly home until it's done.... lol.
Anyway, I've not had the first issue with the engine, it doesn't throw codes and the only work done is my replacing the thermostat and a warranty rear main seal leak. I need to decide if it's time to move on from this one, sell it and look for the next. Very torn at this point- I've had her for 8 years now.

I hear ya. I've had the current one for 5 years, no "real" issues, but it hit 90k a little while ago and I do have a coolant leak now (did a radiator 40k ago, so it wouldn't surprise me if that's it again). However, I've done a bunch of unique customization's to get it to how I like it. I got a set of half doors and uppers in really good shape for $400 just before Christmas. I have to get them painted, but I plan to put in electric locks and power mirrors (matching my Sport S options), just because.

It might be worthwhile to send an oil sample to Blackstone to get an idea of what's going on inside.

I used an pneumatic oil extractor to change my oil. Due to circumstances, my garage has no space to easily pull in to work on vehicles at the moment. And I hate laying on the ground in the winter to work on vehicles. I have a top sider I've used in the past for transmission drains, but somethings happened to it where it's not pulling like it used to. Bought a Mityvac MV7300, hooked it up to my compressor, and it worked like a champ. I figure I'll pull the plug every 3rd to check the magnet, but overall, I like it.
