    Time for an upgrade

Either mesh over the inlet or a snorkel (just because I can & it gets some Jeepers so condescending about the utility of them) 😆

This may be an interesting product

I don't think it's totally a solution in search of a problem, since I have been annoyed with water pooling in the back, but YMMV. Rear Window Trench Hood Saw a video review that looks like it does what it says.

    Door Lock Cylinder question

Can anyone identify this part of the door lock cylinder (not my pic). I can't seem to find it in the parts catalogs I've checked.

P/N for door lock cylinder bellcrank?

Can anyone assist? I cannot find it on any of the Mopar sites the actual p/n for this part highlighted in yellow I believe it is called the bell crank of a door lock cylinder. This is a screen grab of a 2015 door lock. I've found the bell crank bracket p/n, and the lock cylinder, but not that...

Just came across this today... thoughts? Curious what the hive mind has to say.

    Notice on Mopar Parts websites

Just saw this on https://www.moparpartsgiant.com/ "Orders placed on or after Sept. 14, 2023 may experience shipping delays due to the United Auto Workers (UAW) Union's potential strike at Mopar. To avoid any possible delays, please check out the shopping cart at your earliest convenience." Not...

    JK Pre-Start Oil Trick

Anyone else know about this? Am I late to the party? I just came across this video. Basically, if you hold the skinny pedal down while cranking, the engine won't fire but it the oil WILL prime. Release the ignition, release the pedal and then crank as normal and engine starts. Down side is...

    Non-standard D30 axle nut size?

Ok, has anyone seen an axle nut on a JK D30 that was much smaller than a 35mm? I have had 5 JK's in the family that I've worked on... I think 3 times I've removed an axle nut. I have a 2 1/16" socket for CJ's, 36mm for YJ's, and a 35mm for the JK's I've worked on. The nut on this 2009 JK Sahara...

Word to the wise... flaky batteries cause problems.

Saw this on another forum and it's worth sharing here: It's been said a bazillion times on this forum - JK's are sensitive to low voltage conditions. Check your grounds, clean the battery terminals, use Mopar sensors. That is all.

    Go-to salvage yard searches?

I don't recall that I've seen this specifically asked here, but how are you all finding used parts? I use two, mainly. https://www.car-part.com/ & https://www.autopartsearch.com/ That last one I just learned of recently, and it seems to overlap the car-part one quite a bit. Car-Part also has...

    Hardtop Leaks / Weatherstrip replacement

I came across this video from a couple of years ago. The guy does a pretty thorough job of detailing how he replaced the weatherstrip in the hardtop and why. Be sure to watch the 2nd video when he uses the proper seals instead of just the generic stuff...

3.6 Over-voltage condition and possibly "Big 7" upgrade

I haven't been driving my '16 JK a whole lot this past month or so, but the last few times I've driven it, I noticed the voltage is higher than normal (14.8-14.9v), but no codes yet. It's been too frickin' cold for me to properly troubleshoot (unheated garage, if I could get in there), so I've...

    Mopar Licensed ATF+4 Brands

I'm all for OEM for sensors and plugs. I try to exceed OEM if I can for mechanical. Fluids seems to be a frickin' black magic to me. I'll stick with Mopar coolant for now, but I don't want to waste money on things that are perfectly fine as a substitute - ATF fluid being one of them. I came...

    What do you think?

What do you think? A bit of duct tape, some WD-40 and good for another 25K miles? (Rzeppa joint on the front driveshaft, for reference).

    Torque Pro users...

Hi All, I know a lot of us have jScan, but I also use Torque Pro, among others. On another forum, I saw a post about making a custom PID to display TPMS data in TP. Now, I don't have to use Torque Pro for this as I have it in my EVIC. I'm just experimenting. The values that post referenced were...
