What did you do to your JK today?

Got a screaming good deal on a new, uninstalled roof rack today.
It’s already installed.

There’s at least another 1/2” left for taller tires…

Did you do control arms as well or Just shocks & springs ?
I used the stock control arms. They provide front sway bar brackets in order to keep the stock links, the rear they provide a new track bar and track bar tower to raise the side at the axle. Have the lift in three Jeeps and very happy with it. My daughter right off the bat said the Jeep had a better ride.

It was yesterday, but oh well...

We took a drive out by Leadville and ran Halfmoon Gulch. It's mostly an easy to moderate trail, with one real obstacle if you take the spur to the Iron Mike Mine. Stunning views, nice wildlife.

One of our kids has climbed all the 14'ers in Colorado. Now he's finishing the "Highest 100", which are all 13,809 or more. Halfmoon Gulch runs between Mounts Massive and Elbert, both of which are 14'ers. So we dropped him off at the trailhead for Mt Oklahoma, and he climbed that while we ran the trail.

There is a memorial at the trailhead to a group of soldiers from Ft Carson whose helicopter crashed into Massive.

Finally made the wire harness for the roof rack lights.
Soldered and sealed w/ marine-grade heatshrink.
For convenience, I added a plug inside the top.
Ran the wires inside the roll bar padding to the front corner.
I just need to decide which switch I want to control them with.
I already have an open relay (fused) so I just need to splice in and hide the wires behind the trim.

dropped my jeep off to my local mechanic last night. as I suspected he called me this morning and told me the trans oil cooler is leaking underneath the intake manifold. supposed to call me later this afternoon and let me know what the damage is going to be. uggg.

Today I finally upgraded from the 255/75R17's to 285/70R17 BFG K02's!
I found a set of takeoffs (all 5!) on 2022 Rubicon wheels for only $500.
They only had about 15K miles on them, and the spare had never touched the ground.

All that was required was to remove the rotor clips so the new wheels could sit flat against the hub.

Now I have a set of old wheels in my way.

@JerryD Honestly, I was thinking it would feel more closed in but it doesn't. Now, I'm only 5'10", maybe it would feel more closed in if I was taller? I'm glad I got it. Was able to free up a bunch of clutter from the back and put into the pouches.
@Speartip https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096X245N6/?tag=jkforum-20 there are no instructions but it's easy. I did not use the rivets that came with it. I also had to trim the plastic piece above the rear view mirror for the molle panel to fit. It wasn't much trimming. Glad I bought it.
