What did you do to your JK today?

Welcome to the spate tire delete dark side . Lol
Was your rear vent missing the flaps ? When I did my delete discovered the flaps were missing so ordered a new vent .
As you can see in the pick I had been stuffing SOS pads when the flaps fell out over the years ( mice no likey).

Drove to Estes Park yesterday, to spend some time looking at the scenery in Rocky Mountain National Park. There are no 4x4 trails in the national park systems, but I did find a place called Pole Hill Road. Got about 1/2 mile in and it was gated with 3 padlocks.

Spent the day wandering the park. Absolutely gorgeous, and I'll post pictures when I get home.

On the way to Estes Park, I learned a couple things. I learned I can be a colossal dumbass.

I stopped for gas. I went inside to pee, and when I came out, Mrs Dog was getting something out of the back seat, and had my door open. Which kept me from seeing that the pump nozzle was still in the filler neck...

Yes, I did it. I drove away with the hose attached. I heard a noise, and noticed the nozzle in my side mirror. The clerk laughed and said it happens all the time. Turns out they have quick disconnect valves on them just for that reason.

What a dumbass.

Mrs. Dog has been getting a lot of mileage out of it ever since.

The Rockies are most def a sight to behold . Spent a lot of time on the CDN side hiking around Jasper & Banff.
No off reading in our national parks either

The gas pump nozzle is mileage for about a decade . Haha

Overall how do you like the Rancho shocks ?
They are 1,000 times better than the worn out factory shocks, even though I may not have them adjusted/set for our driving conditions/style yet.
I haven’t driven it or even ridden in it since the last adjustment.

I BOUGHT IT SOME PRICEY GAS 😁

Here's a few photos from Rocky Mountain National Park. The only picture in the dirt is at the entrance to Pole Hill Road, which was gated about a mile after you turn off the highway. I did get a couple "water crossings", if we count snowmelt... At higher altitudes, there is still 3-4' of snow in places. The very highest areas (Trail Ridge Road & Old Fall River Road) are still closed. Overall, a stunningly beautiful area. There is the obligatory shot of the Stanley Hotel, for fans of The Shining.

No, there are no photos of me driving away with the gas nozzle, which Mrs. Dog regrets.

We're leaving Sunday for Moab. We will only have two days to explore, because of some family obligations.
