What did you do to your JK today?

During the "Back the Byway Ride", minor peel back of the factory rear diff cover. HELLO JEEP; Those covers need to be upgraded from factory on the Rubicon package!
New parts arrived, so installed them with some 11-year-old "help". Who knew an 11-year-old knows everything wrong with the jeep...needs to be straight piped, bigger tires because 37" aren't 44", turbo charged so it will black smoke (I didn't know gasoline engines did that LOL), more lights (especially the colored ones), and sooo much more...anyway, I got his hands on some wrenches and some oil under his nails! Oh yeah and a start on my Christmas list. Of course afterward we had to take the long way to get ice cream. You know, by way of the creek!

That right there is some quality parenting & time spent with your son .
It's stuff like this he will remember and appreciate greatly as he gets older.
Bonus is learning how turn wrenches :)
Great job Indianajeepdad

Decided to prove to the wife the JKU has a practical purpose and is used on the farm. I pulled the hay tedder, hay rake and an empty hay wagon to the field. Little did I know that when I wasn't looking my brother would hook up a full wagon, haul it out of field and down the road. That wagon was well over 5,000 pounds with no brakes! His only comment was, "I had to put it in 4WD because it kept spinning out." I guess he thought the jeep was taking the place of the Powerstroke...
Oh well. No harm done and nobody got hurt. I wish I had pictures of that!!!

Just pulled the trigger on a Bestop Sunrider in black twill for our '15...
I think this will be the best option for easily getting some additional air/sun into the cabin without having to mess with the Freedom Panels every time.
Very Nice . Watched a couple UT videos on it. I’m considering as well

Being a Tj owner, we have this thread for fun, let's get it started.

I could not find a similar tread but if there's one @Chris can delete this one.

I recently bought a '17 JKU with cold package, automatic trans unfortunately, it's a work in progress since my TJ is a 5 spd. Few upgrades, Jl bumper with winch.

More to come shortly.

check this one out! I've got the TRX Bronco and I swapped out my chrome bumpers to them. Front one has a winch. I use mine on a lot of different terrain and approach angles aren't very often a problem. If it's to big, I come at it from the side and turn into the obstacle. Other than that, it's got the torque to push itself onto the rock or move it out of the way.

Added a couple of "needed" upgrades...

Dead pedal is actually intended for a '18+ JL, but it bolted right in.
It was also only $20 w/a free return option from Amazon, so well worth the "I wonder if it will fit" anxiety.

And a pair of grab handles so that I can hoist my fat ass into the jeep without needing to get a running start:

These were also a "couldn't pass it up" kind of deal... cashback from paying my bills by CC got these for only $12 out of pocket.

I have those same grab handles. I love um. I also have my cell phone holder attached to it
I was looking at options for phone holder locations yesterday.
I think the best option is to replace the factory head unit w/ one that is compatible w/ Apple Carplay, then I can keep my phone out of the way in the door pocket.
I may need to extend a power cable from the center console over to the door for it to work, but that's no big deal.

I've been looking at Android 10" units. Haven't been able to pull the trigger yet.

Are your door pockets still factory netting?

Up on the Oregon Coast. In Brookings now and headed on up to Newport Wednesday. Its been nice and cool sure beats the Vegas summer heat.
Nice. There's a nice, calm OHV trail system along the dunes with campsites (sand camps). Tillamook also has OHV trails.
I've stayed at a couple places up there years ago- The Cannery was one, can't remember the other.
Went to the Rose Festival when I was in the Navy- lot of fun going up the Columbia on a 565' Navy cruiser.
