What did you do to your JK today?

Well, not mine, but my daughter's... Replaced a leaking oil cooler on her '12 with the newer version. Did the plugs while I was in there. Kept getting interrupted... Started it up after it was buttoned up, and runs rough. Sputters, long start. After a few tries it smooths out. Had a CEL. Hmm. P201, 203, 205... what the shrek? Hmm. Took a quick look. Remember how I said I kept getting interrupted? Some dummy forgot to reconnect the injector harness for cyl's 1, 3, & 5. :rolleyes:

It ran surprisingly well on 3 cylinders...

Did break a tooth in the process when a too slipped and popped me in the mouth. I laugh about it now that I know it’s fixable, but boy was I pissed when it happened 😂

They look good. How many miles were on the last set of ball joints?

Put my Quadratec Hail cover on. You never know what a mid-west storm may bring. I have to say, this thing is roomy. Covered the JK w/ winch/lighst & roof rack like it was nothing. My TJ cover has always been just a little too tight.

Also, ordered parts to recline the rear seat and mount the GoPro.

Easy to put on? Does it seem like it will stay on if windy out? How does it wrap around the bottom, ties, elastic straps? I’ve been looking for something reasonable, mainly for protection from dew during the night and perhaps occasional rain shower.

I have this cover by Formosa for my TJ and will let you guys know that its the best cover I have come across. My TJ sits outside and not a drop of water gets in. I would buy it again if I needed one for the JKU.

Wow, really? Seems very reasonably priced. Looks likes enough room to cover accessories such as a winch / lights etc.
 
That is very reasonable. How long have you had it? I was buying 'less expensive' covers for a few years and would wear one out just about every year. We get a lot of hail here in Arkansas, so I opted for the hail cover for that reason. I was putting a shipping blanket on the hood when I covered it up, but we will give this a shot and see how it performs. The Quadratec padding is very robust!

The Quadratec cover has elastic at the front and back, which raps under the bumpers. In the center of the bottom edge of the side skirt there are grommets. It comes with a wire to secure it, but I just use a ratchet strap. Honestly, I don't even strap either of my covers unless I think it is going to get really bad out. My Jeeps sit outside 100% of the time and in the last 4 years I have had a cover come off in the wind zero times (even unstrapped). In most conditions the elastic does the job.

So do you have the poly 200 for approx $55 or the other one for $40? I assume the poly would hold up a little better. Funny they look like they have better prices on their website then Amazon, of course may be shipping cost.
