    3.6 Pentastar Misfire on Cylinders 1, 3, & 5

Hi Jim, just reading your post, it’s interesting. Can you elaborate on where you connected your pressure gauge in being able to read it on test drive via either cylinder bank? Would the pressure gauge also be the type used for fuel pressure too? Look forward to getting your reply 👍

Dave's 2012 JK Call of Duty Edition

I’ve got the same front bumper ’COD’ spec, but with the Warn 9000lb which was part of the kit supplied. Wish I’d of researched and got a different brand, ‘cos the key is awkward to swivel right near the corner mount for the light bar. Somehow rain water still seems to seep in from the top of it...

2008 JK rough idle cannot drive stalls

I’m just chipping in here and probably stating the obvious, but have you checked the continuity between Nō3 inj plug and the control unit, ‘cos that would confirm wether or not it was a break in the loom. If it’s not you can check for a voltage at the plug when it’s running which is telling you...

2008 JK rough idle cannot drive stalls

Keep this thread going Sigp320vtac1, it’ll be interesting to know what the cure was. Diagnostics of all types are real helpful to most owners however frustrating at the time.

    Transmission stuck in park

Can’t believe this post is still open and unresolved. Did Frankjank148 & TwiztedJezter trade up for a Toyota instead? Maybe worth looking at auto transmission forums or Mercedes’ via the net, with better skills than I and see if anything comes up.

    P0301 and p0300

Hi Selenarainie, I thought I’d seen your post over the weekend. So you did a vacuum leak test. I assume no leaks, ‘cos you didn’t elaborate. Still got a P300 showing? The best addition to my tool kit was a leak down tester for my misfire issue. I was convinced it was everything else because it...

    head gasket problem

What’s a 3.6 erb Vs non erb? If the head gasket is blown, it’s more cost effective to just replace than buying a short block, no, especially if the bores and rings are good?

I’m going broke and insane (and need help diagnosing my Jeep)

Furious George, I’m curious, what was the remedy in the end. The forum posted this to me in Aus today 28 May 2023 yet I see from the dates on the posts this fiasco took place last year? It’s a great post so was looking forward to seeing a positive result for you including reimbursement for the...

    P0306 Misfire Help

Unreal. No manufacturer is without recalls and warranty issues, but it’s how they deal with them and take care of their customer base that must be relevant to future sales and success you’d assume. Maybe not in the case of Jeep. Maybe that’s why I read their sales figures are nose diving? At...

    P0306 Misfire Help

So it’s 100% fixed your symptoms as a result baristabob? What about the question of warranty then. Did FCA come to the table and take care of you. These answers are as important as the fault issues, ‘cos Jeep owners are also reliant on the confidence that FCA will standby them as expected they...

    P0306 Misfire Help

Leslie, in Connecticut, how you doin with a response from the dealer on your Jeep. I’m hoping your back on the road by now. Maybe you could give me an update of any progress. It’s frustrating beyond belief and that’s if you can do a fair bit of diagnostics yourself, let alone if you’re solely...

    Transmission stuck in park

I was hoping to view a permanent fix. C’mon, there must be a Jeep wizard out there, who’s had this fault and resolved it successfully. This is a good thread for the community, so let’s hope someone comes through. One of the hardest things now is the lack of access to related wiring diagrams...

    P0306 Misfire Help

There’s a procedure they follow which as far as I’m aware 1) to verify the fault code, 2) carry out a comparative leak down test between all 6 cylinders. If the valves and or seats on 6 are burnt/damaged beyond serviceable, it will be evident showing the % of loss on that cylinder and any others...

    P0306 Misfire Help

If the dealer is taking it apart Leslie, I’m assuming they’ve called you to suggest what they suspect is the problem and discussed either the related cost to repair or option of warranty if they feel it’s a build defect, no?
