Questions about P0305 code

Today I’m pulling the top half of the engine apart. I have a ticking from the top. Going to replace the rockers and lifters. I’m pretty sure the tick is on the right side (cylinders 1,3,5). Maybe a bad rocker lifter is causing the misfire?

@Shjohn62 "Also, you might find this odd, when i have mt brake fully compressed I can barely feel a vibration in the engine and when I release my brake the hesitation is obvious."

Mine is a 2014 and doing the exact same thing. Only feel it when I let off the brake, in gear, at idle. It did not even throw a cel until I played around with it in a parking lot. I'm thinking vacuum leak. I am curious did you find the cause?

Is it possible there is a vacuum issue? Mentioning the vibes tied around brake actuation could be a link.

Thanks for the replies. In my instance I believe it was related to the injector #5. I had filled up the tank earlier that day and had accelerated fairly brisk to pass a car just before. My guess is some trash was causing the injector to malfunction.

I ordered some Amsoil PI and put it in and topped off the tank and the issue has not returned.

So I previously posted of a check engine light and code. It is P0305 (misfire on cylinder 5). I figure if I swap the plugs I should be good? I look at a video showing what I need to do to get to the plugs and am thinking while there I should just swap the coil packs while I am there. I was also wondering if I should change the fuel injectors as well? 155k miles

Thoughts?

also the misfire is not regular but has happened. Usually in the morning at start up and it runs a bit rough for a couple minutes but cleans up once driving.

Back a few months ago. I was on a trip from Ohio to South Carolina. Halfway across WVA my jeep started missing badly. Stopped in VA AT a AutoZone to have the read the code. Depending on what it was determined what my next move was. It was code p0305 misfire number two cylinder. I figured a bad coil. I continued my trip. Next morning tore it apart replaced plug a coil. Reassemble. Still missing. Had to replace the injector. All is good now. I did have the oil change after that also.
