2010 JKU will not shut off when the key is removed from the ignition

Yes we have our own .and it's not showing any now that we replaced that last part but it won't start now either .

In your comment you mention not throwing any now. What codes was it showing before ?
The Jeep electrical system can be tough to diagnose .
Reading many threads on here the last couple years it often comes down to bad ground , connection or battery terminal . Not always but often . Def check grounds and wiring connection points .

So we checked the with a code reader and it threw a transfer case switch.along those lines. So that's when we replaced the transfer case switch, then when he did the code reader to clear everything again, because it once again would not shut off, after all the things we have replaced, then it would not start. So that's why I threw it out there to see if anybody has any other ideas, we have done just about everything, checked every electrical connection. We know the Jeep engine inside and out. Good Lord, it just kind of stumped at this point. Everything runs all the lights. The engine reverse forward transfer case gear shift. Headlights, you know, we don't have the steering wheel connected right now, because we have all this other stuff that we've been doing, but no, everything works, we can't figure this out. So all ideas thrown at us is much appreciated

I don’t know but will the Jeep even turn over/start without the steering wheel attached ?

We need to find out what is supposed to turn off when the key is turned off. Do you have or have access to a j-scan reader? It will tell you what is happening real time as you shut off the key. It takes a little research to figure out but it is a powerful tool. Hang on I’ll post some links.

This is the type of live data it can provide. For your needs, it will confirm commands such as shut off… or run, etc. I am sure someone here has some ideas on what commands and sections to look at. J scan is vast.

I think it is time. We're going to take it into a shop. I stopped and talked to the guy today and he's got a what you're talking about. But on a much bigger scale, hook up to that and see what is going on with it, we are tired of throwing money at it with different parts, and it's not solving the problem. Although it is a 2010 and we haven't really had to do anything to it. Knock on wood, so this stuff was going to eventually need to be replaced. Anyway, but really kind of just want to find out the real reason why it will not shut off I really appreciate everybody giving us some ideas because it's really helped us checking out stuff. Thank you to everybody, and I will keep you posted on what we find out.
