I did receive a response from Voswitch. They recommended moving the fuse tap to M7 or M9. I moved it from M6 to M7 and tested it all weekend with no issues. The thread title can be changed to reflect the issue is resolved. Thank you.

So I ran a test - I drove around until the switch panel turned off. I then tested the cig lighter. The test failed. The cig lighter did not get hot. For some reason, the fuse tap in M6 is shutting down. The fuse is not popped. I took off the fuse cover and the fuse tap is not hot. Not...

I used the recommended fuse slot, M6 (Cig lighter). I will test to see if the cig lighter stops working also when the Voswitch display panel goes off. Thanks.

Purchased and installed a new Voswitch JK100 (8 Switch) two weeks ago. The device is wired with the provided fuse tap for key on/off. The issue I am experiencing is the switch panel turns off after approximately 15 minutes after the key is turned on. All display lights on the panel go dark...

Thanks for the recommendation. The main goal is to get the lights to turn on when the doors are unlocked. Turning on when the doors are open would be a secondary priority. Hopefully, I can find a trigger in the fuse box. Thanks.

I'm going to be using a Voswitch also. So the lights will act as courtesy lights when the doors are unlocked/opened, but I'll also be able to switch them on via the Voswitch. I've attached the design I've drafted. Thanks.

Seriously, your post was the first I found after buying my Jeep and realizing the interior lighting was horrible. The footwell lighting was my first mod. As for adding a switch on the door, that would work for turning the lights on when the door is opened, but I really want them to come on...

I got the footwell lights installed - finally. I ended up tapping in to the dome wires over the back seats and ran wire under the carpet to all areas where I wanted LEDs. I even added one to the glovebox.

I’ve attached a picture to this post. I am connecting the LED wire leads to the yellow/white wire and grounding the LED strip to the local ground post on the outside fender wall (just to the right of the bundle). You can see my nick marks on the wire. Thanks for the help.

The wire bundle in my 2008 JKU Rubicon has two yellow/white wires and I have tried both without success (passenger side). Contemplating next steps. Maybe try the driver's side bundle? Thanks.

I think the question is: What wire in the door harness controls power to the dome light? The yellow wire, the yellow-white wire, the orange wire, etc.? Because once we know the color, we can tap into it and run wire for footwell lights. So, anyone know the right color wire? Thanks.

How did the install go? I have a 2008 which I plan to add footwell lighting to. Which wire did you use from the door harness to tap in to the dome feed? Thanks.
