What does this VIN code mean?

For hill start assist, you press the brake pedal down firmly and it holds it the jeep there for just a moment. If you push down on the pedal hard, it'll hold the jeep there but then you can feel when the brake lets go.

    J-Scan app for mobile devices

Curious as I'm just finding out about jscan. I have a superchips flashpaq scanner. Does the jscan do the same thing? More? If I went that route, I could unlock it and sell the superchips if it did the same thing. I only use it to read codes, calibrated the speedo for the larger tires, and fixed...

    Finally my Gobi rack

I've been debating a roof rack, the Gobi racks are definitely one of the nicest ones. Looks awesome.

Advice on wheels and going to 37 inch tires

I have the nitto ridge grappler in 35s, kind of a hybrid between MT and AT. Quiet on road, very smooth and easy to balance.

Looking for a rear bumper with tire carrier

I have noticed some rattles and actually re- tightened everything this morning with it being quiet again. Hopefully it's not a repeating issue.

Looking for a rear bumper with tire carrier

I have a Havoc Offroad Aftershock bumper/ tire carrier. It was around $700. Their customer service has sucked during Covid, but I bought through quadratec. It's got a spot for a hi-lift Jack and brackets for cube lights.

    C2101 & C2103 codes

Mine turned out to be a loose negative battery terminal. It was slightly loose but I couldn't tighten it any further. Replaced my negative terminal with a universal terminal and was able to tighten it nice and snug. Haven't had an issue since (knock on wood).

How much lift will I need for 22x12s and 35X13.50R22 tires?

Yeah I have a Sahara too. I want to eventually change them to poison spider aluminum flares. Painted to patch the jeep like they are now.

How much lift will I need for 22x12s and 35X13.50R22 tires?

With 35s, I'd say 3.5 lift. 2.5 if you go with flat fenders or tube fenders.

    Gearing and carriers

No expert here but your rear diff shouldn't need a new carrier, just the front (Dana 30 needs a new carrier, d44 doesn't). I've got the same and im looking at 4.56 gears (I'm on 35s). Check another shop, most will do it. Not sure why they wouldn't. Guess they don't need money like most shops do...

    Best Tire Carrier To Get?

I have the Havoc Offroad Aftershock Gen 2 bumper and tire carrier. The bumper and carrier are great, but Havoc's customer service sucked. Once I got all the parts, which took forever, install was easy. It wasn't super expensive like some are. It was around $700. So far, I'm pretty happy with it.

    Axle upgrade help

Not to hijack your post but im in the same boat. If I upgrade my front axle to a 44, then I'd feel more comfortable upgrading to 37" tires. Definitely don't want to regear and then decide I should have upgraded and then have to regear again. As far as axles, I don't know where to start looking...

Will I need any other mods for 35s and a 2.5 inch lift?

I was going to suggest gears too, though not absolutely necessary. I've been thinking 35s with factory gears for 2 years. Plenty of charts out there that suggest gearing for different size tires. I'd recommend 4.56 maybe 4.88. Anything higher and you're really looking more for offroad...

    Looking for step bar suggestions

I have these Smittybilt steps/ nerf bars and I like them. They help the kids get in and are solid. Not too expensive which is a plus. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003EOZLEO/?tag=jkforum-20

Good websites to buy JK upgrades? (I'm new to the Jeep scene)

I use quadratec.com quite a bit... good quality and good customer service.

    C2101 & C2103 codes

I forgot to come back and update. Everything I read, which there wasn't much out there in regards to these codes, was a loose negative battery terminal. I double checked and sure enough, my negative terminal was loose, but was as tight as I could get it. So I replaced my terminal with a brass...

    2013 JKU Sahara : Genevieve

Can you just take the headlight bezels out without replacing them? I would imagine that they just pop out. Good looking Jeep though. Welcome to being broke lol.
