    2014 JKU Won't Start - Advice?

If you have two keys try the other key and see if it will start. That will also help you know if it’s the key fob battery.

    2015 OEM 4-pin to 7-pin tow connector

It is a A-Frame pop up camper trailer. Our club does a fair amount of “overnight” events so thought we would pick up a used one to be more involved. Our club hosts a poker run every year, plus cleans up the camp site area the month before it. Then they help Cal4WD with their Sierra Trek...

    2015 OEM 4-pin to 7-pin tow connector

I agree, I think it is like a trickle charge. Haven’t had a trailer so it’s a new experience for me.

    2015 OEM 4-pin to 7-pin tow connector

Thank you, since I am doing a Bluetooth brake controller I could. The thing is won’t give me battery power to the trailer to charge the batteries etc. while towing.

    2015 OEM 4-pin to 7-pin tow connector

Going to admit upfront, I am being lazy. The wife’s 2015 JKU has the Jeep OEM Tow Package, 3.73 gears. It has a 4 pin connector, does anyone know what is involved to switch it to a 7 pin connector? Do I need to find a place to tap into power for the battery port? Will all the wires...

Need help with new suspension lift

I do second the AEV 2.5” lift. Have it on three JK’s it’s a great setup. Handles wonderfully on and off road. Now if you were into heavy rock crawling I might would recommend something else. We do some rock crawling (did a portion of the Rubicon) and I was still happy with it.

2010 JK Wrangler OEM Rubicon Electronic Front Sway Bar Rebuild

As @1o1Proof said they are not weather proof. One simple solution is to use some dielectric grease on the connector plug. Water can get in there and cause issues. I’ve yet to have an issue with mine.

2010 JK Wrangler OEM Rubicon Electronic Front Sway Bar Rebuild

You are not stupid, yes I have the rubicon and the electric sway bar works fantastic. I want one to install on my wife’s JKU Sahara. Just not willing to spend $400-$500 total to do it. I had no idea a non functioning one would go for that much money. Figured I could pick up a broken one for...

Turning off the center console USB port

For me it it was just a matter of seeing someone taking time to do something that isn’t necessary. Plus just a place for some electrical thing to go haywire.

2010 JK Wrangler OEM Rubicon Electronic Front Sway Bar Rebuild

Assuming it does not work I am guessing around $300 from a few I’ve seen. As @1o1Proof said $120 for the manual setup. For a total of $420 I’ll just get the disconnect links. I am sure price varies by region.

2010 JK Wrangler OEM Rubicon Electronic Front Sway Bar Rebuild

If you are wanting to sell it, you may be able to sell it as is. There is an aftermarket manual system that people use. I am actually looking for one for the right price, but they are usually too high for me. I’ll just get the wife some quick links. With the aftermarket manual setup the...

Turning off the center console USB port

Gotcha, guess I’d rather just unplug the device than install a switch / button somewhere. But that is me and we all have preferences.

Turning off the center console USB port

I have to admit I’m a little confused. We have three JK’s at our house with the center USB port. Have never had an issue with them draining the battery. Nothing connected to it, there isn’t a drain. The toggle switch isn’t doing anything that unplugging whatever is connected to the USB will...

2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara cylinder 5 misfire

Thank you @WestCoastDan this is what helps us to get better. I suspect most of us are just shade tree mechanically inclined people. @Chris I am wondering if there is way to get this in the resources section or something. I am not sure how much time @WestCoastDan spent trying to find the old...

2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara cylinder 5 misfire

I can’t remember but this might be similar to an issue @WestCoastDan had. Maybe he can chime in, he spent a lot of time getting his fixed. Ended up being some bad wires in the harness. I am just not sure it was the exact same issue.

    Exhaust cross member heat shield

He has the issue of the cross exhaust pipe dropping down below the cross member. Made some spacers out of some extra steel I had laying around to drop his engine skid plate to clear.

    Exhaust cross member heat shield

Thank you, that is the clamp I recommended we could replace it with, but he didn’t want to take the time to go get it. Comes a point in life where as parents we simply off advice, its up to them if they want to take any of it. Thank you for the info about no heat shield on your 08. Out of...
