    Aftermarket fenders?

I would like some Bushwackers without the bolt pockets. 😁

    Badlands off-road jack mounting help

I have that same jack but use it as my shop jack. It is definitely hefty! I would say if you remove the spare and upgrade the tailgate hinges you could probably carry it on inside of the tailgate.

    2008 JK with P0300 code

Depending how far forward the exhaust system is damaged, an O2 sensor could have been damaged (or wiring ripped out). That could also result in a misfire code.

    Leveling kit with stock tires

I just re-read this. Do you already have larger tires than stock? If so, what size?

    Leveling kit with stock tires

To your point - it seems as though plenty of people run 285/70R17 on OEM wheels without spacers. Bumping up to a 315 (12.5") width necessitates either a spacer or different wheel, regardless of diameter. In other words, you can probably get away with a larger pizza cutter on the OEM wheels...

    Cooling Issue and Leak

You should do a leak down test too if you're going through the effort.

What did you do to your JK today?

What about filter changes? Since it uses a typical filter it seems like it would difficult to not make a mess in that orientation. Edit: I see there is an air valve on the adapter so excess oil can be purged out of the filter before removal.

I can cut out another hunk of soft top if you want before I pitch what's left of it. The section I used was ~29"x54" and I can probably get another close to that. It doesn't have to be that big but I wanted something roughly the size of the felt I used so I can unroll the entire thing at once.

What did you do to your JK today?

Made a roll for the soft top windows today... I had everything on hand to do it so, other than my time, cost was $0. I utilized the old soft top cover that came with the frame I purchased and was otherwise unusable. It fit the bill for an external cover in this application... I had some...

What did you do to your JK today?

Totally understand. I had a bit of the reverse problem. I bought a crew cab f250 when I retired to tow our RV. We have also found that we preferred taking that on any longer trips/drives even without the RV. My wife loves it. She has an Escape as a DD and I wanted something smaller so...

    Newbie wanting overland build advice

Good deal! We have a 55 with the ice maker, although it's kind of gimmicky and we never use it for that. We liked the size vs the lower volume offerings that weren't much less $$.

What did you do to your JK today?

Installed the front hitch today... Unfortunately there is no way to reuse the front skid plate unless I get really creative.

What did you do to your JK today?

Weather was a bit milder today so changed my belt. Not too bad with one person. I found that the tensioner is much like a compound bow - once you get it to the limit its fairly easy to hold. Getting it there is a chore, though. I used my long breaker bar with an extra hunk of pipe!

What did you do to your JK today?

One of the stay straps ripped on the soft top frame so I added some grommets and zip ties to keep tension on that side for now

    Newbie wanting overland build advice

Same! I refined my technique for the conditions I encountered over 10+ years. Now I do something totally different, but the advice above is solid.

    Newbie wanting overland build advice

Good advice. I think just saying "overlanding" paints a really broad picture so it's hard to provide a one size fits all answer. @Redneckish no disrespect meant and I appreciate your initial question and effort to obtain some lessons learned. More info on what your actual usage would look...
