Not your normal head unit upgrade question...

@Tammyj You can get the factory pieces, but it's a lot cheaper to buy an aftermarket unit, and you'll get a better sounding unit as well. NAV updates will likely be easier/cheaper, too. If you want an easy solution, go to www.crutchfield.com and look around. If you're adventurous, there are...

    Brake pedal vibration

I've had a similar problem happen once, & my daughter in law had it happen to her jk (my old one) too. I suggested rotating the tires as a easy item to eliminate. Her mechanic father poo-poo'd the idea. Vibration gone. I suggested rotating tires regularly & checking for worn components. In her...

Not your normal head unit upgrade question...

Happy Easter! If your unsure what you need, call up Crutch field. They're very helpful. I guess it may depend on what you want to install. I know I needed an adapter for my android based unit, but I expect some hu's are plug 'n play.

    Body control module

Yes you'll have to remove the airbag and steering wheel in order to get to the clock spring. I don't know of any way to test it, but the clock spring is the electrical connection for your stalks & SW buttons.

    Body control module

What site is that? When I look up that p/n on the Mopar site, it comes back with the Tire Pressure Monitoring System receiver. https://store.mopar.com/oem-parts/mopar-tire-pressure-monitoring-system-receiver-68209837aa Edit, It looks like other sites are calling it the Sentry Key Immobilizer...

    Body control module

My mistake... recall affected mostly RHD models, but Chrysler extended the warranty at one time and I had one of mine replaced under that. In looking today, I don't see a "BCM" for JKs. It seems the TIPM incorporates the functions of a BCM and that is under the hood. The module by the glovebox...

Mopar 5149168AJ. For spark plugs, Coils, sensors... I stick with OEM.

    Body control module

Sounds like the clockspring to me. There was a recall on IIRC all JK's. Maybe you still need it and get it replaced for free?

2023 jeep willys locking up in reverse

Howdy. This forum deals mostly with 2007-2018 Wranglers. However I do have a Gladiator and it has the auto-brake feature... Is that what you mean by "locking up"?

JK 2Dr Roof Rack options with no rear rain gutters

I have this one It works, but the hitch mount one, and one of the pads in the above kit, might be a better combo. There used to be a external rack that mounted to the hard top by MBRP, but it's discontinued. You can find it as a knock off though.

    Shop Items: steering linkages, Crown

Never used this, but Crown, in my experience, has been "okay". I usually use the NAPA premium brand for stock replacements.

    Thermostat replacement

Prestone? :) Actually, I've seen a lot of videos stating that you need to drain it for this procedure. IIRC, so does the service manual, but totally unnecessary.

What did you do to your JK today?

Finally took some time to install this. Got it mostly to mount the radio and the gmrs speaker

Hard Top Buddy (or similar): who has one?

I agree, but the fact it is easily transportable intrigues me. MAYBE - I say MAYBE - up to about $500, certainly not the price they are asking...

    Thermostat replacement

I don't. I use these to clamp the hose. When done, I burp & top off

    Top Mopar Online Retailers?

I've gotten the best prices from https://www.bamwholesaleparts.com/ & https://www.stevewhiteparts.com/ Rockauto is usually pretty cheap, but you get a range of quality so you have to be careful. Be careful on shipping. Some places really ding you on that.

    Replace steering damper with shocks?

Personally, I would change it with the shocks. @BLACKJKU is correct, the damper can mask minor problems. I'm going through this with my son's JK. Even though we're replacing everything bad or even questionable on the front end, the damper does help reduce kickback when you hit an obstacle like...

    Hooks on roll cage

Very nice! Always wanted a red one, haven't gotten one yet. And it looks very clean. Hit up the resources area to find how to's and you can even enter your VIN to get a window sticker and options listing. (And a 2 door! we're in the minority so love seeing another one!)

    Hooks on roll cage

The hooks (brackets, actually) are for the soft top hardware (bows). See below (not my Jeep) For your buyers remorse question, are you having any issues? I mean, the vehicle is 12 years old now, and most issues it would have had should have cropped up by now. Don't forget, for every complaint...
