I added some Rough Country control arm drop brackets. All I can say is if anyone has a lifted jeep and doesn't have drop brackets or adjustable control arms it should be your next upgrade. I have always been disappointed with the way my jeep handled, it was already lifted when I bought it, and...

Does anyone have any experience with dual rate coil springs?

Unfortunately I'm becoming clear on zone's quality. I've been reading about shock lengths and travel in them. When I have tested the flex the socks are no where near bottoming out, that's with the zone shocks that came with it and the new Ranchos I just put on. That's why I'm thinking the spring...

Does anyone have any experience with dual rate coil springs?

Oh ya, I also have control arm relocation brackets that I will hopefully be installing tomorrow. I am planing on upgrading to long arms eventually but it's just not on the budget right now.

Does anyone have any experience with dual rate coil springs?

I have been doing more a more serious off roading over the past couple of years so I have been upgrading what I see as short comings as I go. I am now looking at front coil springs. My 2012 jku had a Zone Offroad 4 inch lift on it when I bought it and it doesn't flex well at all. I have front...

    Land Between the Lakes

I'll definitely have to check that out when we're back down there. Thanks for the advise.

    Land Between the Lakes

It only takes me about 2 hours to get to the northern edge of it. We're going to "overland" it for spring break. I think if you had time to take a long weekend it would probably be worth the trip down.

    Land Between the Lakes

It's in Kentucky and Tennessee. All of the trails we ran that day were in Kentucky though. It was my first time there but I'm taking the family back at the end of the month.

    Land Between the Lakes

I joined Pennyrile Off Road for a trip to Land Between the Lakes last weekend. We did about 26 miles and all of it but about 2 miles was on dirt! Probably the most fun I've ever had during an off road day trip.

During my last trip to Interlak SRA I blew out my back passenger side shock so I swapped out the Zone Offroad shock that came with the lift for some Rancho 5000s.

I've looked at similarly priced one several times and never pulled the trigger on them. The biggest complaint I've seen on the cheaper ones is the adhesive failing. If you end up buying them let us know how they are.

I hit a deer almost 2 years ago before I had the HD front bumper. The only damage I had was the grill cracked in a few places. It didn't look terrible so I wasn't too worried about replacing it right away. I finally found a black one on facebook market place the other day for cheap so I grabbed...

Turning a 2.5 inch lift into a 3.5 inch lift

I don't remember the brand. They were probably the cheapest things I could get off of ebay at the time, because that's the budget I was on back then. I ran that jeep like that for several years and never had any issues.

Turning a 2.5 inch lift into a 3.5 inch lift

I did a similar thing with a tj I used to have years ago. I had 2.5 inch lift springs on it and just added another 1 or 1.5 inch spacer at the top of the springs. It rode and handled the same as when just the lift springs were on it.

February 2021 Ride of the Month (ROTM) Contest

I took this yesterday on the top of the hill at Interlake SRA in Indiana watching the sun go down.

My misses was out of town for the night so I figured I'd load the kiddos up and go play in the Jeep. Definitely sloppier than I was planning on but as alway we had an absolute BLAST!!!

I finally broke down and bought LED headlights. They are just a cheap Chinese brand they are still 1000% better than the stock headlights!

EAG makes a nice rock slider that is also a step. With 2 small kids and a 5'3" wife a side step was a must for me.

The next upgrade was more of a necessity. One trip to Redbird to get a few Jeep Badges of Honor and I end up with a bent tie rod. 🤦‍♂️ So I took the advice of a couple members on this forum and upgraded to Doetsch offroad's aluminum 1 ton steering kit with a flipped drag link.

Need help deciding between JKUR JKUR Recon or JLUR

I have been running 35s on a Dana 30 for years without bending an axle. I go to a couple local offroad park at least once a month. I just keep in mind that my front axle is a possible weak point so I drive accordingly. I take it easy on the skinny pedal and try not to bounce too much. Also I...
