Trouble with brake vacuum pump relocation and winch install

When I put my winch on, I just cut the existing bracket and rotated. I have no issues with it touching anything and its still secure.

    Comprehensive insurance

This is what you will need to do in your situation. Also, what @mrjp said. They give discounts to the insurance companies, so to get the highest payout, go and ask them what the out the door cost would be for you then give that estimate to your insurance. They should write you a check.

    Comprehensive insurance

I am very very good friends with my insurance agent. That makes it super easy. 😂 I have a policy that is full coverage + 15k in upgrades (it was only 7 dollars more a month). He just asked me to keep all my receipts and if i was to ever get involved in an accident, he would take care of it. It...

Buying a JK, newbie needs help

I wouldn't pay over 10k for that thing. It also had dual steering stabilizers and in my opinion that says a lot of the previous owner and what parts he put on it/how he treated it. I would be walking.

    Update on TwoDoorOverland

Well, haven’t posted an update in a while so figured I would. mad I have said before, building a rig during a pandemic is rough (whether that’s because of actual supply chain issues or just people using the excuse.) Still waiting on the roof rack (week 14), but that is to be expected. I have...

Project Detonator - My 2016 JKUR Hard Rock Edition

Same here. Those are the same that are on the Currie/Magpull Jeep. A small part of me wishes I had gone that direction instead of PS.

    4.88 Gearing

Im pretty sure you will need a new carrier. You can enter you vin here (https://fcacommunity.force.com/RAM/s/equipment-listing ) and find out what your jeep came with from the factory.

    Anyone add a catch can?

I have been thinking of adding one. It does no harm, only good from what I can tell.

How do I tell the TPMS that 30-32 psi is normal so the low tire pressure warning doesn't come on?

If I get a flat, my jeep will be leaning to one corner. :ROFLMAO:

    JK Brake Torque Specs

Asked this same question in a Facebook group and someone posted the Haynes manual torque sheet. 2007-2010- 120ftlbs front and 77 rear 2011 and later JKs 100ftlbs Front 77 rear. I will probably just do 120 to be safe on the front with my '17. People commented that they do 120 front and rear and...

    JK Brake Torque Specs

Hoping for some guidance. I am redoing the brakes on my Jeep tomorrow, rotors and all. I keep finding conflicting torque specs on the brake caliper bracket bolt torque spec. Some have said 120ftlbs (front) and 77 (rear) while others say 55ftlbs for the rear. The owners manual doesn't have...

    Slant back soft tops

I know this is directed at Chris, but the twill is a much thicker and nicer material. If i was getting a soft top, i would only go twill. More expensive, but more durable and nicer.

    Question about buying new Grille

Thats the grill that came on my jeep factory. I will sell it to you for $500 😜 *totally kidding, don't take me seriously. 😂

Mechanic installed big brake kit that doesn't fit my wheels

Agreed. Its not like you ordered the kit and asked him to put it on. He ordered all the parts. At that point it is on him to check fitment before ordering let alone installing. I would be raising some hell.

    Warning against Morris4x4

Had to order a new brake kit for my Jeep. Searched around for the best deal. Found somewhere with a really good price, but charged nearly 30 dollars for shipping. I saw Morris does price match guarantee. I always try to price match when I can and companies always price match the listed price of...

Will this Smittybilt winch plate work with the Hard Rock Rubicon bumper?

No need to add. Just piggy back off of one of the existing terminals that has wires going to it. Dont go to the one circled as that is how you loosen the terminal and that would be annoying to have the winch connected there if ever needing to disconnect the battery.

Will this Smittybilt winch plate work with the Hard Rock Rubicon bumper?

Same here. Should go directly to the battery and have a ground.

Will this Smittybilt winch plate work with the Hard Rock Rubicon bumper?

It will be well worth the extra money. The popular brands (JCROffroad, Maximus, etc) all are basically the same and bolt right in. Throughout building my jeep I have found that it is better to spend a little extra to avoid headaches down the road.
