It is very easy. They sort of work in tandem. Yes, you can use 1 at a time even though they are both connected to the throttle body, the hand throttle will have a dead spot until you reach the point the gas pedal is. Since the gas pedal wire is directly attached to the throttle body, it moves with the hand throttle. Hopefully that makes sense.
I'm not sure how it would work on a JK though since the 3.6 uses throttle by wire.
Then I highly recommend the TeraFlex hand throttle. That's what I have on my TJ. I installed it in about 30 minutes. 1 tip, remove the actual throttle cable and wrap the wire behind it. The throttle cable will help hold the hand throttle cable onto the throttle body.
Nope, keep the man card. Nothing wrong the automatic, except I don’t know how to wheel in them . My kid and wife’s ask me questions and I have to keep learning and asking others what to do.
I do want to install one of those throttle knobs that go on the stick shift.
Ohh, those knob things are so cool. I had a shimano shifter modified on my CJ. She had a 400hp SBC married to a SM-420. Like driving a high performance bus. I'll post a video of my son and I crawling and trying to use it.
