Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler JK engine mounts

What did you do to your JK today?

Lake Effect Snow. That is as bad as the F word around here. I was able to put one LED light in the driver side. Removed the horn for access (does not work anyway, that malfunctioning TIPM). I have complete sealed LEDs in lenses as well. But no warm garage, Fog LEDs are suppose to come today, but we got hit again last night. (LES) No sign of a plow as I type here. All Good. And in 5 months if we make it through the winter. Mosquitos, Blackflies and other biting insects. Not Good

Yeah I wouldn’t want to work on Jeep standing knee deep in snow either .
What year is your Jeep ? When I did my 2008 everything accessed from the front . Cause don’t understand why you had to remove horn .
Hopefully snow eases off for you . That sucks .

So if you look at the bottom of some members posts, there is addition info. The Dog has a unique one, Me? just what my current ride is. 14yrs of salt and very cold temp here, would (and I am guessing from experience) break the plastic clips top to bottom, #15 torx screws (rusted on??). So I went in from the back after I let the engine bay warm up. Got the right side done today. All Good

Ohhh ok . Busted up the grill clips . Gotcha . Mine seem to be holding up ok considering how many times it’s been removed . Granted the weather here isn’t what it’s like over there .

Not really what I did today but over the new year. I built and tested a 4 tire inflator/deflator. It worked great. Hardly had to bend over at all. Built it from poly tubing and pushlock fittings mostly. I like that all four tires deflate evenly and then inflate evenly when off the trail.

I bought it off of Amazon. I grabbed a scratched and dented one for $17. The reviews aren't great because it attaches with tape but I saw a review that secures it with a zip tie that still looks clean so that's what I'm planning on doing for the long term. Ya the phone holder comes with it.

I bought one for my jku 09 which goes into the CD player. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a slot where you put around flat thing which play much like a record player....never mind.

Planning a brief trip to the Grand Canyon and Moab in February, If anybody is going to be in Moab the 15th-17th, hit me up. I don't have everything planned yet, but we are tentatively planning on running Fins & Things, Hells Revenge, and Top of the World, at least.

Earlier this week I put a set of 33's on 17x9 wheels and an Auxbeam switch panel and hooked up my blue lights for the VFD. This will give me a spot for the seat heaters and front lights when I get them installed. Luckily I didn't sell the 33's when I went to 37's on my TJ.

Changed the oil pressure & temp sensor on the oil cooler, changed the bank 2 sensor 1 O2, changed spark plugs, coils, and fixed a few wiring disasters the PO had done. It runs great but I'm still getting an intermittent cylinder 6 circuit code. I ordered the JL PUG lower intake manifold and 6 JL injectors. The PO had the Dorman oil cooler installed not that long ago so no need to do that while in there.

This week, removed the upper intake again and took the driver side injector/coil wiring harness out. There were several wire cuts. After fixing, I've not gotten a single code that I mentioned above.

Today I installed the Energy Suspension polyurethane spare tire bumper extension to keep the 33's from vibrating and installed the Bulletpoint Rubigrid phone mount.

Installed the Diabolical Slipstream rear enclosure and fire extinguisher today. This rear enclosure is nice. Only compliant I have is the instructions say there is a pin on the upper back area, but it didn't come with them. I'll call them Monday. It is nice having the full rear coverage vs the others on the market.

Installed my A-pillar lights. I'm not a huge fan of the brackets I got, so I'm on the hunt for different ones. You can see the front blue lights for the VFD.

Finished wiring my rear blue lights for the VFD and got my license plate relocated. I'm not a fan of how the OEM plate mount is. If I didn't daily this Jeep, I'm take the spare off completely. I prefer the look without one.
