What did you do to your JK today?

With Gaia mapping you could transfer the trail with all the topography lines and other details like rivers etc. With an exploded view for your hood or wherever . Thinking that would be cool .

If memory serves Trail Recon did something like that but can’t remember if he used actual trail . It was at least a couple years ago .
My memory agrees with yours.

Added some graphics. I'm still deciding what else to put on. I think those huge flat panels make a good sport for graphics.

Took an extended weekend overlanding trip with a couple buddies to Weiser State Forrest. My buddy in his baby bronco wanted to try the level 4 trail. He made it but, barely. He ended up getting some free pinstripes out of the trip too. We ate like kings the whole time. We also ended up being the hunted the last night there. While we sat around the campfire, we had a bunch of coyotes come way to close to camp. They were circling us and if y'all never heard coyotes call out, it's like hearing a woman scream in the middle of the Forrest at night. Ended up getting the spot light out and saw more eyes than we wanted to see, so I hit the panic button to try and scare them away and it worked. Option 2 was unloading the 9mm. I do wish I would of taken more pictures of the whole trip though. Maybe next time I'll get some sweet pictures like @Speartip!

Maybe the coyotes saw the skeleton and figured they were missing out on the feast. 😂

Howling coyotes . Know that sound all to well. Was finishing a long hike in the dark about 5 years ago . Outside of Edmonton . Elk Island National Park . Lots of Bison , elk, wolves coyotes etc
Sun just finished setting and the cries/howling began . It was kinda creepy as they were getting closer but reached the parking lot before an encounter .
They must have been hungry to approach your camp like that . Good think horn scared ‘‘em off .
Trails look cool . Like the skeleton !!

Every time I see those nice pics in BC, it reminds me to call my old mining buddy ( College Circa 81) North East Van Island. Time zones, we can not coordinate our Home Brew consumption and a Bable Yaking. All Good

I read some where Pamela (Bay Watch) has moved back to the Island (she is from Ladysmith?) your hunting grounds. With out the make up, still is better looking and smarter then May.

Finally got around to swapping out my tops. There was a thread comparing twill to standard, I didn't find it. Other than all the obvious differences the interior of the top is one of my favorites. It's a nice black cloth rather than the grey you get with vinyl.
Here is a pic, yes it's dirty... my jeep stays that way.

We had a good snow storm last week. And as I always do, I posted on the neighborhood Facebook page that if people get stuck, they can message me. If I'm available, I'll come pull them out. Because a tow truck will take hours and cost a couple body parts.

One poor lady thought it was dry enough and drove her F150 back into their pasture with hay for their horses. Broke through the crust on the surface and immediately sank hub deep on all four.

The others were all basically the same story. Slid in the ice and missed their driveway, dropping 1-2 tires into the ditch.

Pulled 2 with the JK and 4 with the 392.

Do you really want to know. Ugh today is yet another couple FIXES on my JKU (last month it was EGR, O2 Sensors, muffler leak, evap leak, in addition to the 100 hundred other fixes/upgrades I have done over the last 5 years).

Sick of this car but my son wants to keep it as he thinks it will be a "classic" eventually. Hard to let it go after all the fixes and getting it "right" but just can't trust it and deal with the ongoing stress of always waiting for the next thing to break. It looks GREAT, has $170K and runs excellent (for now). Put it up for sale and maybe the market has changed but very few takers (and I live in a major metro area). What sucks about these is, most people do nothing to them and end up posting them for sale beatup, while those of us who take care of our stuff are brought down by the value of those comparables. Very few people buying these understand the value of all the upgrades and fixes solving the major issues with these cars - so they don't value them - I'm not talking wanting to get value out of upgrades like crazy lifts or cosmetic grills, etc.. but things like new starter, fuel pump, suspension (control arms, etc), EGR, manifolds, etc, etc, etc. I love this car but ffing hate it at the same time.

1) Was getting a wobble so checked my trackbar and sure, enough, holes are ovaled out (damn) so bought a new/used Rough Country trackbar ($30), bought step weld washers ($20), bought a welder & mask ($125), new bolts ($40)... gonna have to drill out the ovaled holes and weld in the step washer. Will be a good fix and upgrade after all said and down but just another PITA.

2) Pulled of the rusted fuel tank skid and replacing with an upgraded aluminum skid. Again, will need to figure out w way to weld to a couple rusted broken bolts to get them out before i can finish. What a PITA.

Want to get rid of this car but almost inclined to keep it for all the fixes and upgrades I have into it. It sucks and doesn't suck at the same time.

That's why it's called a Jeep ( just empty every pocket).

Put on new battery clamps. Process went smooth overall, just a little time consuming and didn’t want screw up the main electrical connections. I don’t care for the Allen head bolt, had to cut down a wrench to fit. Then threw it in the Jeep console in case need it away from home. Oh the new cable ends didn’t clamp very well with the crimper with the size I thought should be used, so ended up using the next one down which seemed too much but the ends clamped on.

This all started because the airbag and brake light was on. Checked the connections and negative clamp would pull right off. Figured this www time.

Come to find out the brake light was in because the parking brake was on which wasn’t very clear in the text message the wife sent me and then I just jumped to the conclusion.

Looks like the airbag light is still staying on so will need to dig into that another day.
