Wrangler sounds different after taking it out of 4WD

Typically you can tell when the CV is gone when all you see is a grease splatter mess. -Mac

    Steering refresh

We're planning on Rubicon Trail and Moab. So I'm definitely wanting beef. -Mac

    Steering refresh

Wife's 13 JK is in need of a steering refresh. We tried a few replacement tie rod ends but the bar itself...the threads are messed up enough that I broke a Rigid pipe wrench trying to get things to move enough for a proper tape measure alignment. There are lots of aluminum options out there...

Yet another heating question on a 2013 JKU

No heat on one side makes me think you have a blocked vent tube. A cheap Amazon endoscope and pulling out the vents would let you check into the heater box. -Mac

Over-revved engine: what have I (potentially) done?

Probably knocked off some of the carbon deposits on the pistons. Do it again! -Mac

Warped cylinder head or blown head gasket??

New parts these days are all shit. Wouldn't be surprised if the new heater core is now leaking. Any idea where the mechanic sourced the part so the rest of us learn from your pain? Have you done a compression gas test? You can get a tester at any parts store. Depending on those results...and...

    E-Brake mods

I'd check in on the sister TJ forum and ask MrBlaine. I've done parking brakes on our JK and replaced the drum brakes on my TJ D35 and adjusted cables on both. Never bothered to measure distances. Blackmagicbrakes.com -Mac

Change spare wheel stowage on my Wrangler

I bought a spare tire delete plate on Amazon. I also bought stainless head studs for a early 2000s Ford modular V-8 - 5.4 and 4.6 - M8 and 1.25 might be 1.5. Studs let me hang the plate with RTV to delete the broken air vent. Studs would let you easily pull the spare and the carrier if you so...

    Suspension

Did you install the shocks or did you have a shop do it? Not familiar with Bilstines but a lot of shocks need cycled and primed. Also possible the wrong length of shocks were installed. I personally like Black Max shocks. They're a lot softer than most shocks. -Mac

    Battery auxiliary buss mount

Personally I'd use milspec battery terminals and put everything on ring connectors. You'll find bus bars on Amazon if that's how you want to go. -Mac

Where do I get a new computer for my 2010 Jeep Wrangler?

Wrangler Fix does TJ ECUs. Not sure if they do JK...but they'd be my first call. -Mac
