What did you do to your JK today?

I have two elements on the front doors, a 2.5lb kiddie in rear seat and a 2.5lb extinguisher mounted on a quick release attached to the rear tire swing out.

What is the drawback with the elements?
You've got to be closer and more accurate with them. The majority don't know how to use an extinguisher. I'm just not a fan.

Installed a second fire extinguisher at my feet. The DV8 bracket is well made. We had a brake caliper on another JKU last trip out hang and catch fire on the way back to the campground. Luckily my brother didn't have his top on and was able to grab his quickly. Mine was under my TrekTop.

Also swapped out the Poison Spyder license plate bracket for a Motobilt one. Everything else on it is Motobilt and the PS was driving me nuts being different.

Love the motobilt vent frame. I get it when things don't line up and match.

A few small things this last few days. Finished my rotopax mounts for my cobbled together roof rack and built a heat shield to protect the reservoir hose going from coilover to reservoir. I t crossed too close to the exhaust tube.

Got the Busted Knuckle Wilwood kit swapped onto my Dana 60. I'll bleed the brakes later today and brandish the pads in. This kit stops amazing on my brother's 2012 JKU so I'm looking forward to the stopping difference from the Super Duty calipers. The JK master cylinder just couldn't support the volume needed. These Wilwood calipers are over 21# lighter than the SD ones 😲.

Front and rear 5.13s are in as well as my Grizzly locker. The damn thing feels so much better to drive now.

I have my Mickey Thompsons in my garage but my mechanic says I should wait for the gear break in to finish before putting them on. When I do I'll take some pictures because the weather is finally better now.

The tires will not hurt the gears. Just make sure you don't romp on the gears and change the fluid in 500-1000 miles.

Now don't throw shade, I'm only attempting to contribute . . . .
I installed a throttle body spacer on my 2017 JKU (manual, 72K miles) a few days ago. I've read all the controversy surrounding this mod, but the Rough Country version was reasonably priced for the experiment I'm conducting (mild performance enhancement). I currently have a CAI and a Pedal Commander installed. At initial drive, the skinny pedal seems to be a bit more responsive and it feels like the engine has a full breadth of air to work with. The MPGs (it's early now) seem to be trackinig in the upward direction, but time on the open road will determine if it becomes reality. Yes, I do some DD with it.
The next mod will be an axle back exhaust once I let the throttle body spacer settle in. Th idea was to add the CAI, let it settle in. Add the TBS, let it settle in. Then add the axle back, and let it settle in. I saw a 2 MPG addition and better breathing once the CAI was installed, so I believe we're moving in the right direction.
Happy New Year to all!

Hi - I just saw your post on the throttle body spacer - since it has been a few years, would you recommend it? I am thinking of getting one, plus a cat-back exhaust and cold air intake.

This guy hasn't been active in two years but I seriously doubt he saw MPG gains with a bunk TB mod and a CAI. At least, not in a rolling brick.
