Whining noise when turning left or right on 08 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Hello, I have a 08 jeep wrangler Sahara unlimited and the steering wheel whines when I turn it left or right in neutral and when turning. Theres no power steering fluid compartment so what is it? Please help. I can be reached at 479.276.2978 if you want to call me and let me know.

Not sure what you mean by Compartment, but the power steering fluid reservoir on the 3.8 is to the left of the radiator, just in front of the air filter housing when standing in front of the Jeep.

It sounds like it's empty or very low

I have a 3.8 and my cap for my brake reservoir became faulty, it looked find but was not locking in and keeping pressure in the system. It's an out there idea but take the cap on and off and see if you think it's latching correctly. It'd be a lot easier to fix than finding a leak someplace. Just look up where the reservoir is first.

There's not supposed to be any pressure in the brake reservoir.
