What did you do to your JK today?

So, after enjoying the fresh mountain air at 7000' and some light trail exploring, I returned home to find my radiator leaking :(..... A cool 350.00 dollars later I had installed the new radiator, and thermostat/housing.
I have read a lot of write ups on swapping the radiator out and the issue of bleeding the air out of the system; I have always drilled a small, very small hole, in the thermostat and orient it skyward to allow the system to easily bleed out any air prior to the thermostat opening.

I had the same thing happen to me. Went up at a very high elevation and the next day my radiator started leaking. Since these things are notorious for leaks and the OEM radiators hold up the best, I ended up buying a couple junkyard ones.

Its with a heavy heart that I post this.

Last month I had a dispute with the boss where I used to work. Basically my name was used in a lie to another employee.

So me being me, I threw my sucker in the dirt and walked out........

With no job prospect and being 62 and 8 months old. I filed for my Social security. Cashed in what little 401k I had to pay off bills.

Well yesterday a couple stopped at the house asking if the JK was for sale. Sure I say, $8500.00 and its yours.

Well they said ok and left, within an hour they pulled back up and by golly if they didn't have $8500.00 in cash............

So now I am retired down to one Jeep tj Rubicon and can pretty much pay off the rest of my bills with the JK funds.

While sad in one sense, I am relieved also.

I find that, most of the time, things work out the way they are supposed to. You may have not been thinking of selling, but it sounds like it came together at the perfect time! I wish you all the best going forward.

Thanks, we weren't worried about making ends meet, we just wanted to trim the fat off so it would be easier.

This helped out immensely!

WranglerFix tested my PCM and said it was perfectly fine. They updated the software and sent it back to me with two day shipping. I'm kind of at a loss now in regards to my Jeep, I guess the next step is to pull the wiring harness.

After performing my "test" this Summer with a well used, standard fabric soft top, I upgraded. I scored a lightly used factory black twill top for $200. I had to drive to get it, probably burning $100 in gas, but it was worth it. The twill doesn't look much different in pics but in person it is way nicer.
