What could have caused this dent?

When i got this jk from the dealer they told me they replaced the windshield for a crack that they dont know how it happened. (The car was a repo). I noticed this dent by the windshield and 4 screw holes from something i guess was previously there. The dent is just odd in an odd place. Any ideas?

Maybe someone yanking on it without removing all of the screws first?

Possibly someone stepped on it and tried to bend it back?

Missing the debris shield under the slats and looks like aftermarket screws in the hood hinges. Maybe something to investigate.

Definitely missing the debris shield and there are not OEM screws in hood. Hard to say why things are missing. I thought maybe a cowl vent scoop was ripped off but I think 99% if not all of them are double sided tape stuck on. Are there silver screws on both hood hinges?

Probably something got torn off and windshield busted trying to run over the repo man lol

Almost looks like the hood got folded back toward the windshield too far. Or someone tried to remove the cowl without removing all the screws. It's all been mentioned in other posts.
But the cowls are really pretty thin gauge and easily bent.

Do you live on a golf course in Florida? Did your wife find out you've been steppin' out? Did she run you out with a 9-iron in her hand?
You're lucky it wasn't an Escalade- wouldn't have held up as well....
