I went to a Jeep/Chrysler dealer today for 3 recalls I had outstanding. It was for the clockspring, air bag, and Mopar tow bar.
When I picked it up the service manager told me the horn still didn't work. He claimed it didnt work when ai brought it in. I know it did work. My guess is they didn't hook it back up when they changed the clockspring, any thoughts?

Also, they sent me "immediate attention required" service recommendations.

Transmission fluid and filter change - $298
Power steering fluid flush - $165
Change brake fluid - $165
Service Jeep/1500 - $525
Fuel injector decarbon - $380
3.3 3.8 Plat Tune - $330 (what is a plat tune)

Anyway, this all seems way high and I can do it myself. Just wondered if anyone knew what a plat tune was

The first three are reasonable price-wise.

Would need more detail about what they are doing with #4. #5 sounds like a cash grab. #6 maybe platinum spark plugs? If so that price wouldn't be terrible for a 3.6, but not a 3.8.

Similar story, took it in for the clockspring and received a message needed new front and rear brakes for $1,200, new steering stabilizer (which was accurate) and something I can’t remember. Said no thank you, I’ll take care of it myself. $1,200 for brakes is ridiculous.

They didn't mention the steering stabilizer, I don't have one. Lol. The great thing about owning a Jeep is I've learned how to do so much work on it myself, lol.
