TPMS: new wheels and J-SCAN

I did get some counterfeit Ford TPMS sensors one time. Caught the spelling errors on them before I installed them, luckily...
 
All pretty interesting, I'm wrestling with this issue myself and have another thread going. I may be trying replacing the sensors with OEM ones rather than generic new ones - maybe there is some frequency / compatibility issue around the 2014 MY.

I've had my 2014 for 9 years now and never had a TPMS issue, and I've had a couple sets of new 35s installed along the way. I disabled my TPMS several years ago because the threshold on JKUs is 30psi, I believe. I keep my tires at 28, so to avoid the constant alarms and dash notifications, I simply disabled the TPMS.

yeah you gotta reprogram the sensors to your new wheels if they're different. j-scan works but honestly easier to just take it to a shop and let them do it in like 10 mins. mine was being a pain in the ass til i got them synced up. make sure your old sensors aren't still trying to talk to the jeep or itll keep throwing codes
