I understand you have to do what’s best for yourself & your needs . Are you looking at a new one or used ?
I guess my only concern would be on parts availability down the line as the Cherokee has been discontinued .
Last one rolled out of the Belvidere plant in Illinois in late-February.
The Grand Cherokee will remain in production threw 2024.
Reason is steady poor sales for the last decade . But the Grand Cherokee has had a boost in sales lately . There is also something going on with the actual Cherokee Nation requesting the name be dropped . More info in the following links.

The V-8 is dead in the two-row Jeep Grand Cherokee but it's still available in the three-row model.
