Replacement top doesn't connect to hardware, will fly away!

Ok, so after waiting for my backorder jeep soft top replacement & hardware to arrive by smittybilt I took to have installed. Then advised not to drive it much.. the soft top does not connect to the hardware bars! Very random. Is there something missing?!? My original set had velcro to connect bar to cover. This does not. Is there something I add to keep the top from catching wind and flying up? Any help is appreciated.

I would contact Smittybilt and ask them, maybe someone forgot to send all the parts.

What is that folded piece behind the round rod? Looks to me like the rod should go into what looks like a hole in the fabric piece.

That’s where my Smittybuilt slides in.

Yeah just checked. Can’t get a good pic as it is dark out but that rod slides through the sleeve.
