I’m trying to get my rear coils off and the retainer has a nut on the bottom of the perch that I can’t figure out a good way to get to. My new retainer nut has a clip on it but of course the one that’s there does not. I got one loose enough I could probably cut it but the driver side is difficult to get to. Any thoughts???

Watching this, the coil retainer has a threaded bolt into the perch, not a nut? He jacked the body up so the axle would sag enough to get to the perch fairly easily.
That’s interesting, I never saw a clip like that. I was talking about the nut under the perch, but also figured out how to get it out. It involved me holding a 14mm wrench upright on the nut from the bottom and a 15 year old who acted like he had better things to do unscrewing it from the top. My next option was cutting it off but luckily it wasn’t rusted too bad.
