Ive got a 2012 JK and the check engine light came on. Throwing P0522 code. Took it to a mechanic that hooked it up to the computer to verify thats what it is. Just changed the oil 2 weeks ago, so I know it has plenty of oil. Mechanic even checked it. Jeep is running fine, no noises from the engine, ect. Mechanic said its not hurting anything driving it since it has plenty of oil in it. Is this correct? And how long can you actually drive it with the sensor bad. I cant get it in to the mechanic shop for a couple of weeks. Will it be ok til then? Thanks in advance for any answers.

The P0522 code is actually telling you the oil pressure is the issue, not the amount of oil you have in the system.

The Jeep P0522 code indicates a low voltage reading from the engine oil pressure sensor circuit. This can be caused by actual low oil pressure (due to low oil, a bad pump, or a clogged filter), or a problem with the sensor, wiring, or connector. Before replacing the sensor, you should check the oil level and consider an oil and filter change, and then inspect the sensor and its wiring for any damage or corrosion.

Check the oil level:
The most common and easiest fix is a low oil level. Check your dipstick and add oil if necessary.

Perform an oil and filter change:
If the oil is low or dirty, an oil and filter change is the next step. Use the correct viscosity of oil for your Jeep.

Inspect the sensor and wiring:
After the oil change, inspect the oil pressure sensor and its connector for any signs of damage, corrosion, or poor connections. Look for any broken wires in the harness.

Check voltage (advanced):
If the wiring looks good, you can use a multimeter to test the sensor's 5-volt reference, ground, and signal wires to check for proper voltage.

Replace the sensor:
If the sensor itself is faulty, replace it. A Mopar brand sensor is recommended by some owners.

Consider other issues:
If the sensor and wiring are all good, the problem could be more serious, such as a failing oil pump or clogged filter, which may require professional diagnosis.
