A lift should be sized to fit the tires you want. Going over 3" gets much more complicated, and can cause lots of steering and ride problems if you don't know what you're doing. For 35" tire I wouldn't go more than a 21/2" lift. Do flat fenders if you need more tire clearance.

As a reminder, you WILL need to do axle gearing if you increase tire diameter. And that’s generally more expensive than that new set of 35” black donuts.
