Limp mode

Hi
Has anyone struggled with this called “LIMP MODE” ? I have a automatic Sáhara 2012 and its stuck on 2nd gear , wont accelerate more than 20 mph, im going desperate cant find the rothcause. I have already changed the speed sensor A on the transmisión, new oil , new filter, changed the acceleration module ,new coolant and water pump and some other things with no luck , its still the same .
Please help!!!

Have you checked for any diagnostic codes? This will point you in the general direction of the root cause, and help us help you.

Did you recalibrate the speedometer after putting larger tires on?

An oxigen sensor 2 on bank 1 , which i have replaced already , speed sensor A on transmisión replaced also

Yes , tire size and ratio changed

Did you repair the crumbling wire harness at the oil pressure sending unit yet?

The exposed conductors will randomly short against one another resulting in CEL, limp mode, and as many codes as you can count.

no not yet, the only time i changed the oil cooler , the conectors were in very good condition

I havent tried that yet , will do and see what happens, hopefuly fix

Hi there, quick update!!! It was the ABS MODULE. Changed it for a new one and reset it to my vin number and its working as a champ
