I just bought an awesome 2017 Jk unlimited 75th anniversary edition and appears to be in great shape and dealer performed service to resolve incoming inspection issues.

It’s a 2017 but has 114k miles. Must be highway mile I figure since only a 2017 plus COVID gap years lol.

I typically don’t buy extended warranties but never bought a car with 114k mile either.

Reaching out to jeep community to see what you all think of a jeep with those miles and if you think there is value in adding 3yr 36k mile warrant my for $2500 or if something might go wrong in that period, chance are it’s less than $2500?

Thanks!

I would. With that many miles, highway or not, It may be money well spent. I had an extended warranty on my 2015 Chrysler 200C, before I traded it for my Grand Cherokee Trailhawk the warranty company had spent just over $14k in the 4 years I've had the car. I spent $1800. for the warranty. They replaced the head unit twice, 9 speed transmission, rear differential and the oil cooler, same 3.6ltr we have in our jeeps.

I would suggest to read the fine print on any
vehicle extended warranty and find exactly what
is covered and what isn't.
@SteveF had good results with his extended.
But ive heard many a shitty story where this , that
and the other wasnt covered . It wasn't until well
after sale this info was found out
Some extended warranties require you to do
general service maintainace every 5000 miles or
whatever it is . If it's ever missed warranty is void.
Stuff like that so def ask many many questions.

Congratulations on your new Jeep & welcome to the forum

First, as @Speartip suggested, read the fine print. Then read it again. Now read it a third time, with the mindset of twisting the wording to cover as little as possible.

In general, I think extended warranties are a huge waste of money. It's simple math. They wouldn't be selling you the warranty if they didn't expect to pay out less than you pay them.

Another factor, though, is you. I am my own warranty. Many others here can say the same. If you're not comfortable turning wrenches, that makes a difference.

Personally, I'd be more inclined to pay a mechanic (if I didn't trust myself to do it) to check it out before I bought it than to pay for a warranty.
