Wanted to see if anyone could confirm which each HVAC blend door actuator does.
1. I think the drivers side sets the temperature, hot or cold.
2. I think the passenger one to the left of the glove box controls the direction of the air, i.e. foot, face, defroster.
3. I think the passenger one located behind the right speaker (adjacent to the passenger door) controls recirculating / fresh air.

The wife’s JKU does not seem to be directing air to the correct vent / changing where the air comes out, there is minimal change. The hot / cold seems to work fine, just not changing which vent it comes out. I doubt the recirculating position would be prevent which vent air comes out of.

Want to make sure I change the correct one.

Does anyone know if there a fuse that provides power to the actuators?

Hi, I have a 2012 jk I just changed the temperature or heat temperature actuator driver side…after that when I turn on the A/C the right button that control the air direction start flashing for minutes then the A/C starts

I confirmed drivers side controls the heat, passenger by door controls the recirculating air function.

That basically leaves the passenger one by the center console the directional one.

Bright side found out the issue was extremely clogged cabin filters. Removed them saw how dirty they were, turned on the blower and wow, what a difference. Replaced them saw how filters today and all works as it should, wife should be happy. Took me long enough to dig into it 😂.

I am not sure about this. I think they may need to be calibrated. Are you sure you put the new one in so everything was in the same position as when you removed it? I think I read somewhere on this forum you can remove the fuse for about 30 seconds and it may help to reset the system.
