How to Reset the ECU on a Jeep Wrangler JK

It was after the 2nd reset that it finally fixed it and that was about 1.5 years ago.

What did you do with the pedal? My lights are exactly this. But the above instructions don’t mention a pedal step.
 
Several days ago I started the car in am to drive to work, As I drove off it backfired and the gas pedal went limp. I press and no acceleration. Well I have been working on my 2012 jk with codes p0571, p0108, p2167. New battery placed, throttle body has been replaced, MAP sensor replaced, throttle pedal has been replaced and I still have non functional gas pedal. I have done the re-learn with no luck. I have scanned and and erased all codes but with external code reader but when I do the system check without the scanner even with no engine light on all three codes are still there. Very frustrating to see the lightning bolt light still on. Needless to say I have spent more than $600 in parts. I'm glad I came across this post and really hope this was a quick fix. I will try this today once I'm home and see if that's all I needed to do. I will update.
