Has anyone replaced this pump, if so did the check engine light go off or did it have to be reset?

I believe anytime you have a CEL the ECM needs to have the codes cleared, anyway that's the way my 08 is.

The CEL will go off if you unplug the battery and leave it unplugged for 10 minutes or so. The PCM will reset itself.

Of course clearing the codes with a scanner is much easier (y)

A scanner like from AutoZone?

Yes, but Autozone can't legally reset codes, even though their tool will do it. It's against their policies.

Buy a cheap OBDII scanner like this:

Or download the J-Scan app and buy this:

If you plan on owning your Jeep a long time, you need an OBDII scanner to read and reset codes.

Either of those methods are cheap and easy to use :)
