Compressed - Measure eye-to-eye on the shock mounts. Then add the distance from axle to bump stop. I would add an additional inch to allow for bump stop compression. Or you can order an extended bump stop.Agreed.
But how do I figure that number when in the shop? I need to get a number for proper shock size.
Extended can only really be attained by flexing the Jeep and finding the lowest sag point. A bit of caution, it looks as though you still have stock brake lines. You do not want those to be you limiting factory on the suspension sag, nor your new shocks. Might want to invest in limit straps and brake lines as well.
