Hey all looking for some self.

2012 JKU Sahara 3.6L Penstar.

Engine is running hot, normally does not go over 3/4 on temp gauge but does so on occasion. Work done so far.

Flushed coolant 3 times.
Replaced Coolant Temp Sensor
Replaced Thermostat and Housing
Replaced Radiator
Replaced Water Pump
Replaced Heater Core
Replaced Oil Cooler
Ran compression leak test and fluid stayed blue

Any ideas -- thanks.

As @BLACKJKU said, might have air in the system. Some people elevate the front end to help get the air out of the system. Some run it with the cap off and slowly add coolant when needed. Have you confirmed if the fan is coming on? Yup use OEM equipment.

Heater not getting hot seems like a different issue. Was the heater working correctly before you did the above work. Engine overheating I would think plenty of heat would come out of the heater. Depending I am wondering if there is a blockage somewhere to the heater core.

So, your engine ran hot one time and you replaced what amounts to the entire cooling system?
Wow...

Okay, no more Top Gun jokes....
Any way, that's a lot to do over an overheating condition. Typically, start with the easy stuff first- like coolant level (make sure there's enough in the system); check radiator cap pressure; then the thermostat based on how the temp gauge and/or top radiator hose is behaving. Then follow the path of coolant and check off each of the items in order of where they are:

Also, I would question the accuracy of your gauge:
You said it "normally does not go over 3/4 on temp gauge but does so on occasion."
The fact your temp gauge is ever getting to 3/4 would be cause for concern in my book. Your fan is off at 203 or so and will not kick on until temps exceed 213 or so. Your temp gauge showing in the neighborhood of 250 is not good. That gauge needle straight up and down is where you want it.

Let me attach this handy cooling primer:

Same issue with mine. 2014 Rubicon 56,000 miles. Lift with 35s. Oil cooler cracked. Dealer replaced and replaced thermostat at same time. Two months later started running hot 240s only at highway speeds 60+ above 2200 rpm’s. Took it to dealer. They replaced: leaking radiator and water pump, thermostat (again), flushed coolant system, cleaned air conditioner condenser, engine block test, cylinder test, used external thermometer at ECT, was within one degree, they said it might be a pin hole head gasket leak…checked coolant with chem test. No trace of oil or exhaust, flow test on emissions is normal….anybody have any ideas ?

Electric cooling fan.

…thanks for the reply…I forgot to mention that the fan was also replaced…the dealer determined the original fan was running at 50%. The new OEM fan runs at 88%. They claim that fan relays are good. Dealer said fan relays are in the TIPM. I have read one is in the TIPM and another is up by the master cylinder.
