Really appreciate that tip. I bought it, hopefully should be here tomorrow to continue the work. Really appreciate the help and tips you've all been giving me lately. It's given alot of motivation and second and third lives into this jeep haha.A tool is about the only way to do it, then put dielectric grease inside the boots when reinstalling them.
Thay is an awesome tip thank you! I will do that. Today I managed to remove #5 and #3 briefly and popped them back in loosely for now as I realized the boots were not pulling off cleanly so will need new wires. Will start with 5 then 3 and continue on so I don't mix them up too. I was having a p0205 and p0305 codes and the spark plug in this pic is the #5 next to a new one. Maybe I'm on the right track? If you do wires do this. Pop the wires out of the wire loom one at a time for the passenger side. Disconnect one wire at a time from the coil on the drivers side. Tape your new wire onto the old wire then pull the old wire out the passenger side which will in turn pull your new wire right in place. Works like a charm👍 If u try to do all 3 at once u will have to send someone to the store for more beer,a bottle of Jack Black, and bandaids😂🍺🍺
they re bosch double platinum. is that not right? I got them at an autoparts store that said it fit the wranglerX2 those plugs do look different. What kind ya got there
Ok Better safe than sorry I will take them back. Thanks alot for the heads upChampion 7440 are OE. I suggest taking those back and getting the Champions. Parts stores will tell you a lot of things 'fit" but for certain things on Wranglers, the OE Mopar stuff woks "best". For half the price, I think you'll get better results with the 7440's. My .02.
I got the 3 passenger side ones in today. I should have gotten the gapper but they looked ok, gonna go get one for the last 3 and cross my fingers. I gotta say the zip tie pull the wire through method was AMAZING. the whole process went relatively smoothly. Those 3 on the passenger side are definite doozies. Very hard to reach and get at. But hopefully these last 3 should be much betterJust another little tip. Be sure to check your gap on the plugs. Some plugs say they are pre-gapped but I have found that not to be true in many instances. Looking for .050. 👍🍺
